I always forget about this guy but he does have talent. If he recovers well from that ACL then they definitely have some trade possibilities.

They obviously really liked this guy, knowing he was going to have a medical redshirt year. You look at his highlights from college and what strikes me is that a cut block never seems to work on him. I mean never. There was one clip where he got the totally illegal chop block while engaged with another lineman, and he shrugged both off and stayed upright. It looks like hitting him is akin to running in to a tree trunk.
Does lynch favor acl guys moreso than baalke?
This guy is so damn quick he has the quick feet that a big man like Trent Brown has. I know it's a weird example but it's true if you see this guy he is so damn quick for his size
Before you bash Street, look at his NC St history. He was basically the DT/DE who did the dirty work for Chubb...he's strong as an ox, has some quickness & mobility and should be ready to make some kind of splash once he's in the regular DL rotation.

Yeah, he was squatting 700 lbs as a guy coming out of college. That's sttrrrrrrong.

Still remember him at #3 on Feldman's Freak Athlete list:

Really excited to see if this guy breaks into the rotation this year! Add him and the #2 pick into the mix and our d-line gonna give some QB's nightmares.
This dude is GOLD!
I have only seen a little tape of Street. I am impressed. Rotate him in with Blair at DE on one side, Ford on the other. This mitigates the NEED to take a DE in the draft. Certainly in Ford we now have at least one elite Edge.

Take QW at #2. That's a pretty fearsome foursome. AA has done fine in run stopping, and ST has upside, but nothing will get handed to them because of draft position. Occasionally, it might be possible to bring in Thomas at DT in nickel packages, and shift Buck to DE, or let him take a breather. In Base, occasionally give Ford a rest, and put AA at DE. AA may be better against the run than Ford.

After the first round, with either QW or Bosa in tow, we only need a quality SAM to fill out our front 7.

So you see a line of Ford/QW/Buck/Street being superior to Ford/Thomas/Buck/Bosa (in terms of pass rushing)?

I will say the one plus of your lineup is that it's more likely 3-down combination whereas mine gets used to rush only. I still like the latter better though.

Good call.

IMO, we still need another ER - the only one we have is DEE
RELAX fellas...

you all are making Street the next big thing already... playing football has nothing to do with being able to lift 700 lbs..

Lets hope we did find a gem, but don't make him an ALL PRO already...

How so? Lynch drafted 1, and signed 1, Baalke drafted nearly 1 each year, Lattimore, Carradine, Thomas, etc...
