Got a feeling he will be the best of ST, Armstead, Day and DJ Jones. It can only be good for rotation too, maybe give Buckner a breather!!!

Rookie of the year. 90 sacks, 1 tackle for loss, 20 ints, 30 fgs made, Record longest punt, longest td pass in 49ers history, I could go on but ill stop there.
He's a great athlete but I'll reserve judgment for now. He and Solomon Thomas both have the speed to get after guys, so if they can consistently get off blocks and finish the play, they'll be tremendously valuable. Right now, Armstead has outperformed ST despite lacking the closing speed Thomas has.

Here's to hoping we see big, positive changes.

Talk about ridiculously unrealistic expectations, 70 sacks at best.....

To give some perspective, in the past 20 years, here is a list of players we've drafted in the 4th round that were worth a damn: Dashon Goldson, Isaac Sopoaga, Brandon Lloyd. 3 guys in 20 years.

I think you forgot Haley.

This x 1000000000
if things doesn't work out, maybe we can do the old Schnellenberger Theory on him..

I think we keep all the bodies for camp even with Bosa as our assumed selection and let iron sharpen iron.

I would imagine assuming Thomas and Street impress, we would see Blair and Armstead traded for 2020 mid/late round selections near the end of preseason.

This will get interesting soon.

Right, to the point I made in another thread, guys like Blair and Armstead I think definitely could get dangled as trade bait as well. Though the team -- if they can -- may elect to hold onto these guys in hopes of getting comp picks in 2021 instead. Depends on the offers they get for these guys, if any.

Hard to imagine that Ronald Blair has much trade value. Some other team would really need to like him to give up draft capital to get him. While he plays hard and is a decent guy to have in the rotation he doesn't seem like to sort of player that a team would go out of its way to acquire. At least Armstead has the pedigree of being a first round pick and was apparently pretty good against the run last year.
