This is a desperate spy game by Pete Carroll. Nothing more, nothing less.
This guy is Something else .

Man, that was a great plan. Now, Shanny should get Machiavellian and go ahead an waive Dante Pettis to bring this plan full circle. Better yet, Lynch should offer (read: fleese) Seattle Pettis for a 3rd and a 7th
Seahawks will be 3 games behind the Niners by the time DJ Reed is healthy.
Lol, it sucks but so dumb of Seattle.

The best cast off that Seattle has claimed was Lockette. Are you still enjoying that one?

I'm still enjoying the last time he was thrown to.

Yup. You called it! Love the biggest choke job in SB history.
I bet Seattle will cut him after play them and we can get him back
Does he have to make their 53? Or do they then have to waive him at which point we could get him back.

Yeah I think they'll waive him too. We're pretty low on the waivers list though.

No, I don't think he has too, he can be placed on IR at the final cut down.

Can we sign him off IR?

How is that fair to us? He should have to clear waivers. Or else why didn't we just place him on IR.

For to us? The Niners cut him. That means they were giving up on his contract. That also means another team can elect to pick it up. The Seahawks did.

How is it unfair? The Niners knew full well this was a possible outcome. Also, he wasn't going to make this team. So this is all moot. He's not better than any of the CBs the Niners kept.

The Niners waived him though and Seattle claimed him. Could the Niners just have put him on IR instead?

Yes, they could have. But he has a chance to play late in the season. Plus, he wasn't likely to make the team given how well others have performed.

I'm hoping h Th he Seahawks get bored of reed and find another guy better than him and release him. Then we get him back
Got activated today, and is questionable to play.
