We have 4 WR's who can play the slot well now. Two where that projects as their primary, and likely only roll....Why?
Not a knock on James, but i dont understand....
I get that people are calling him an "OW" but how many OW are we going to have on the roster? Only so many balls to go around.....
You Have Juice, Jet, Garcon, Goodwin, Kittle, Pettis, Williams, etc etc...
Where does a guy like James even fit in?
Garcon, Taylor, Pettis, and now James are all WR's that eat in the slot....
Garcon obviously plays outside for us, but honestly, i see quite a bit of redundancy in our picks, this is one of the glaring areas where he have a bit of a log jam.....

Kyle Shannahan doesnt care about tall recievers. The sooner you realize this the sooner we can stop having heartburn over height.

Based on his comments, Shanahan looks for guys with outstanding quickness, quick feet and great route running. Not so many big guys who can turn on a dime pretty much with the level of agility that he's looking for.
He wants guys who can run the routes exactly as called, get open with their quickness and hold on to the football when it comes their way.

My favorite pick of our draft. He makes the roster easy.
