Based on his comments, Shanahan looks for guys with outstanding quickness, quick feet and great route running. Not so many big guys who can turn on a dime pretty much with the level of agility that he's looking for.

He wants guys who can run the routes exactly as called, get open with their quickness and hold on to the football when it comes their way.

He has Jimmy. JimG accuracy and timing makes the connection with the smaller quicker receivers complete. Without Jimmy, I don't think Kyle would ignore those bigger body receivers. He might have a couple on the roster.

I think another area is the run game. Bigger receivers can help in the run game blocking downfield. But Kyle already has lighter, more athletic OLinemen getting to the second level, so receivers blocking not as much

LOL...in a vanilla game plan, dude got a quick screen for a big gain, slant for the winning TD, had an excellent crack back block, 30 yards on a return, etc.

Lock.

Agree and Good Post!

It seems KS/JL are building for speed.

With some of the rule changes over the years - smaller faster guys can be very effective.

I'd still like one Big WR.

I think Kyle wants one, but big WR's with the required route running, quickness and speed are pretty damn rare.
This kid just appears to have "it" . I really like him. I think he has a bright future here
Our success with 7th round picks the last 2 years is unreal!

Yeah, guys like Julio don't exactly grow on trees. Not sure what your point is by posting that pic.
Hope he balls out tonight.

That was my point. He's the only active player that I can think of that fits the criteria.

I think Deandre Hopkins probably just about counts
