From what I seen he has better separation than Trent Taylor. I hope they don't put him in the practice squad with Bolden coming back from suspension.

I will be PISSED if Bolden gets a spot over James. Dude is trash and only reason he made our roster was strictly for KR which we no longer need with elite return options in DJ Reed and Dante Pettis.

Same. He did have a nice preseason though so I wouldn't say strictly KR.
So Richie James and Julian Taylor have to sit because of their draft status or are they not good enough?

These guys were pretty good in the preseason.

We all say this every year: Preseason doesn't matter.
With Pettis a bit banged up and Taylor not exactly lighting it up, I'd give this kid some PT to see what he can do!

Except Richie James and Julian Taylor produced against 1st stringers and in James' case was much more productive and high caliber of a draft prospect than his draft slot indicated. Better prospect than Trent Taylor was coming out and he contributed all last year.

Pretty sure James will get a shot eventually. DT is probably our Defesne strength at least in number. We can't even find a good spot for Thomas so I don't know how Taylor is gonna see the field. That is unless Saleh wants to try him at corner.

Yup. Kory Sheets was good in preseason. Matt Breida was awful in preseason this year.

I will say this, I trust our offensive staff far more than our defensive staff in terms of evaluating talent and who is ready to play verses who isn't. What has happened with Eli Harold since being traded to Detroit, their unjustified faith in Cassius Marsh, playing Solomon Thomas out of position, and failure to develop any players (Tartt and Colbert do not look the same) has me questioning their judgment.

I am excited about James and his time will definitely come. It doesn't mean we need to send Garcon to the bench. His performance hasn't been great, but I think he should be given a year before we judge that he just doesn't have it anymore. Unless one of the young receivers has demonstrated that they have a clear advantage over the average starting corner in the NFL, I trust Kyle to work them into the offense as he sees fit.

With that said, I wonder if there are any other underutilized sub-4.35 40 guys that we can trade for? Having two deep threats would put us in a situation where we aren't so dependent on Goodwin and all of the underneath guys (like Trent Taylor) are helped immensely. It also puts Pettis only the slowest corner when we go 3 or 4 wide. Does anyone know of a player that fits this description?
I think Bolden will be active instead of him

I could see that.

But damnit, release the Rick James, b***h!

If the defense and front four continue to be invisible vs the pass and miss tackles etc. there is no reason not to bring up taylor. and with trent taylor being invisible. garcon being not all there. pettis and goodwin hurt. may as well see what james has

Should be starting instead of T.Taylor.
It's time to start new players like this. Put Taylor on the bench and start him this guy looks really quick and pretty powerful for his size. Start his f**king ass enough said.

He should go up to the coach and say, what did the five fingers say to the face?

Ritchie James needs to become the focal point of this offense, he's a swiss army knife and we need to see what he is capable of, sooner rather than later.
