I was a fan of the Richie James pick when they made it. Saw people say he'd be lucky to make the team or would be a practice squad guy and I understood that based on where he was drafted. But he did nothing but produce in college. Yeah it was at a smaller school and conference but he wasn't just a system guy catching passes and scoring because someone had to. He was an explosive NFL level athlete. He definitely deserves to make the team.

Taylors quick and can catch James can do both and he can burn defenses. Trent aint that fast u cant throw a go route to him and its starting too look like hes gonna keep getting injured first his back now his toe smh.
So because he can't run an elite "go route" he shouldn't be on the team? You do understand not every WR has the same skill set and isn't use in the same fashion. All reports suggested Trent was the best WR in camp and you want to cut him lol.
I have no idea why it has to be James or Taylor. I'll gladly take Richie over Matthews (who can't run a go route either lol).

I like James hope he makes the team....I disagree he's an explosive NFL level athlete though. His SPARQ score was in the 42nd percentile.

Really rooting and hoping he makes it. I'd keep him over Matthews & Bourne

It will be a massive MASSIVE mistake if this team lets James go, I refuse to believe shanahan and lynch are stupid to cut a kid whose been showing out in practice and transitioning it to games. Dudes out performed Pettis easily and not only makes plays when the starters are in but does it against the scrubs

Our return game is in trouble if we get rid of James.

this is why I get comfortable knowing he'll make the team because hes our best returner and returned a kick off last year

I think that Shanahan allowing him to showcase in the preseason like he has means he is going to make the cut. They are making no attempt to hide him at all. If he doesn't play at all on Thursday that will say something. Although, I think he will.

I just dont see him making the cut unless someone is traded. I could be wrong but I just don't see him getting on the field enough to warrant a roster spot.

The #6 WR won't be seeing the field a whole lot period. James provides more versatility and better upside than either Bourne or Matthews.

But Mathews would definitely be a part of the Red zone package which would warrant a roster spot.

James is the type of WR that Pittsburg would pick up and turn into the next Randel El, Sanders or Brown depending on where his ceiling ends up being.
