Taylor will be back soon and will have his spot in the slot as Garoppolo's safety blanket. Having James gives the offense more versatility and the ability to attack all over the field.

Having both Taylor and James is huge as they have different skillsets that can be utilized by Shanahan.

Wtf, I responded to you in the draft thread you made and you were too cool to respond. And now you feel compelled to reply about this overrated bum. Yes, Richie is way better and everyone on the roster EARNED their spot except this guy. This dude was never a safety blanket in anything meaningful. My god. You think you know everything.

f**king beast

Nice! I agree with everybody who says he has a bright future with the 49ers.

Yeah he's a beast man. I called him. So much better than Taylor. Taylor's injury is a blessing in disguise

Lol. Taylor was the best receiver in camp before he went down. He was huge for Garoppolo in 2017, especially on third downs. Having another dependable target underneath besides Kittle will also likely be a big boost to him.

James is a nice weapon to have but liking James doesn't mean you have to s**t on Taylor for some odd reason. The offense is better with both of them playing.

There was a QB that Walsh coached named Greg Cook, he could never get healthy, but he had hall of fame talent. Nobody ever heard of him because he was never able to get 100% healthy, same with Garnett and (so it seems) Taylor. Hope Richie stays healthy and can become better than Taylor. Once Taylor is healthy, ShanaLynch has more options now.

He had back surgery before the season last year which clearly limited him. This year he came back looking like himself again in training camp and had the same connection with Garoppolo as. He's going to be out a couple more weeks with a broken toe. Its not like he tore an ACL or anything. You can keep doubting the guy but he's going to have an important role on this offense once again.
GOTTA move on from Trent at the moment.. He's hurt and not playing, Crazy Legs Richie doin the job!! get him the ROCK !!

When Trent gets healthy, then he can try and showcase his talent !!
Give more James

You act like he's a proven vet. This dude is anointed a spot for no reason. What a joke

James>>>>>>>>>>Taylor
Thought is was a fantastic play design, not trying to take anything away , he got separation and made the play.
I'm really happy for this guy. The competition at WR this camp was really deep and he earned his way onto the 53 and right away showed he deserved it. He seems to be developing good chemistry with Jimmy G and will continue to grow and help on special teams look forward to watching his game this season.

Perhaps Jimmy has a special mental connection with Taylor. That matters, and you can't deny their on the field chemistry. Not everything is caveman logic.

lol well that's a lie....Taylor was the best WR in camp this yr and it was plastered all over the place. A good portion of the reason Jimmy G had so much success on converting 3rd downs in 2017 WAS because of Taylor. That's not made up that's a fact and there's plenty of film to back it up.

He get's a spot BECAUSE he's good. Plain and simple. I have no idea why you're even trying to b***h about James over Taylor. It shouldn't even come down to that. Taylor in the slot and have James outside. Their both good players.

Taylor get's open quicker and has better hands. James is faster and can win on the outside.

Great we have a bunch of good young (cheap) WRs that can play.

Gotta calm down bro.

So you have a nickname of crazy legs for a 49er receiver but it is not Pettis? Dude has the craziest legs when he runs of any wideout in the league? Come on man, that is just too obvious.
