I just came to say I will die on the "Richie James is a good WR" hill. It's very close to the "Josh Morgan was going to be a star" hill I cant get off of lol.

Been saying this for years. He always seems to make a game changing play. He needs more snaps. People saying Hurd and Jennings should play over him are out of their minds.

Crazy this dude had the 3rd most snaps as a WR @ only 395.
If Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, etc. actually stay healthy I'm not sure how many snaps he'd get if he made the team. He's got some competition on fair catching balls now.

Why? We have no idea what either of those guys can do when healthy. We do know that James can't block worth a damn which limits his utility in this offense which is why they'll continue looking for a more well rounded upgrade.

Because Hurd is as injury prone as they come and Jennings isnt an NFL player. Simple.

Take both of those guys out of the equation and they're still looking for an upgrade over James because of his limitations. James reminds me of JJ Nelson when he was with the Cardinals. A few times per season he was good for some huge plays but his size and inability to block eventually led to his career completely petering out.

This. I was hoping he would make more plays in the return game to stick with the team. Benjamin could push him off the roster

Give me one reason Richie James can't go off for 1200 and 10 this year 🤔 pic.twitter.com/gPyVRivCEr

You don't need Julio Jones when you already have Richie James on the roster, but having a Julio Jones could potentially open things up for Richie even more.. 🤷♂️

If Ritchie has 1200 yards receiving that means Aiyuk has 6,000

I think Richie makes a game changing play almost every time he gets extended minutes. But I hear you on his blocking.

Like I said, JJ Nelson all over again. Made a massive gamebreaking play once every few games because defenses were focused elsewhere, invisible the rest of the time, just about useless in the run game, eventually Arizona moved on from him, now his career is pretty much done just a few years later.

Phoenix, you thought Trent Taylor was better than Richie
Richie is a keeper. He makes good things happen. Good for a couple big plays per year

Yeah, and Cardinals fans were saying the exact same stuff about Nelson. Same player, same issues. Now he's bouncing from team to team every year.
Can't be a run heavy team and have someone that is a major liability as a blocker playing heavy snaps. It is what it is.
