Yeah they get some money of what they might have missed out, but there is something WAAAAAY more important that can/will happen.... that the Owners would not f**king want, but would have no choice but to deal with.

Which is the one reason I don't see the powers of the NFL, letting Kap or Reid win the judgment. They would work something out behind the scenes.

There is TOOOOOOO MUCH money at stake.
so if they lose..it can't be that they were wrong ?

No it can be. Collusion is pretty hard to prove. Especially in Reid's case, since it was after Kap's situation... and they would know to watch what they say to each other.

I'm just saying that even if Kap and Reid Lawyer somehow caught the owners slipping.... there is too much money to be lost.

What I was pointing with that post is that, if collusion is proven. The CBA, which heavily benefits the owners, would get tore up. And players would get another chance at getting better of a new deal.

Saying it is one thing, doing it is another..

Reid can say all he wants in regard to that KNEELING ISSUE, but bottom line is, if he feels like kneeling again, can his new team really do anything??

These players really still do not understand..

They are working for the league... the league will keep you as long as they can make money off of you.. once you become a headcase, it's just a matter of time before REAL PRICE GETS PAID..

Look at some of the players who could have still played and be playing now, but are just now sitting at home trying to find out what happened??

Marcus Allen when he was w/the Raiders
Mark Gasteneau for asking an impossible amount of money.
Tom Cousineau for asking in impossible amount of money
The Majik Man
Terrell Owens
Chad Ocho Cinco

Collin "cant complete a simple slant" Kaepernick
Ed " Can Not" Reid " any coverage"

PRICE WILL BE PAID FELLASSSS !!!

Of course it could be, I think the point Afrikan is making is that it won't be a fair trial.

You'd have to be pretty naive to think otherwise, there's a reason these guys got to where they are, they aren't stupid, and if they are they can hire people who aren't.

I think Reid has already got what he wanted out of this which is taking a stand against what he (and I) see as an injustice.

The NFLPA case is a lot stronger.
I will say it again, you reap what you sow.

If you guys feel so strongly about this why not go into your work tomorrow and protest yourselves?

WHAT IN THE f**k ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Jesus.
One thing is certain -- whoever signs Kaepernick/E. Reid will have a huge distraction on their hands and that's enough for teams to (rightfully) say no thanks. You can't fault an owner for not signing CK/Reid because they can always fall back on the "distraction defense."

Unless the players have something in writing - an email, a letter, a text message - that overtly points to collusion they have zero chance of winning. They're really in a tough spot. Maybe they do have this kind of evidence but it seems doubtful.

If the CBA gets torn up the owners will not necessarily hand the players a better deal. All of the teams dislike a lot of things in the current CBA, viewership is no longer on a constant upwards rise. I am not really sure that this would be a great time to renegotiate the CBA... from the players perspective. Public sentiment wouldn't necessarily be in the players side right now either.

Uhmmm, he's basically saying do what Kap did. And when you lose your job, you'll understand why Kap is out of a job. Your 1st amendment rights don't protect you from getting fired.

That's how I read it as well. Protest all you want in your personal time. Knock yourself out. Have fun.

If I went into work my next shift and decided to throw up a Protest at work, I wonder what would happen to me.

Let me think.......

"If you guys feel so strongly about this"

What is he talking about? What is "this"? How are we feeling so strongly about what ever he is talking about?

Just to randomly pop in and throw that out there and bounce... just seems like thread s**tting. There's only like 3 posters who can be viewed as "defending" Kap and Reid... when it's mostly just stating facts or laws.

We're talking about the definition of collusion.... how the case might go.

Now I understand if these past few pages were filled with Kap fanboys just spamming "THIS IS f**kED UP WHAT'S HAPPENING... THIS SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING. WHY WHY WHY? THIS IS SO UNFAIR WAAAAAA"

Then yeah Jiks post could relate.

But that's not the case. Most of us who have lived alittle, knew how everything could go. And how cowardly it would come off. How sneaky it would come off. (and hell even Kap knew what could happen)

We've been passed that for a while now.
