desperate? Make a case?

lol... these are just facts. You can see it with your own eyes. I don't need to make a case.

if they cared THAT much about the flag...about the anthem. They would have got there WAY early to do all those simple unpatriotic things.
right..its pretty desperate to compare a player thats on the field to people outside of the stadium

Oh mean like telling some of us to kneel at our own jobs?
that one i don't get either.. like who will know why you are kneeling ?

but if your standing in front of the lobby with some type of sign pushing the protest to everyone walking up might make people uncomfortable

understandable.

although I don't think that's what the NFL Players were doing...or anything similar. just peacefully facing the flag. Kneeling (which is a show of respect).
they made their point got their awareness heard..time to take another/different step toward progress. i mean if they do get signed and kneel.. hows that going to change people for the second time ?

that was their plan. And I'm sure they would have stuck to it. but when you have the President instigating...and some owners making their own idiot comments...Still some Police Officers not being held accountable (black or white victims)

God knows what the future holds.... so if Teams are trying to give them an Ultimatum like YOU BETTER NOT EVER AGAIN!!! PINKY PROMISE????

well s**t, I'd be the same way. If I were a player...I wouldn't plan on kneeling, but if some crazy s**t happens in the next year or two... and no one is doing anything about it...if the media is not bringing awareness to it. I can't promise I won't do my part by peacefully protesting.

I don't think there is nothing wrong with that.
kneeling now is not going to do anything anymore, if that is the only way they can think of promoting the cause.. consider the movement doomed. There really are other ways.. as past protest and movements didn't involve Pro Athletes kneeling, but actually talking to be heard.

Yes... but that's what Kaepernick and Eric Reid have done. Kap has done more than just kneeling since this whole thing started.

Just because his vocal critics choose to not look into it... well that's their problem. Actually I doubt they really care.
Being reported out here that the Cards have interest in Reid, Boston and Vaccaro but that the asking price for all of them is too steep.

Damn it sucks to be a FA safety these days. Who remembered when Jarius Byrd got a massive contract and didn't do s**t afterwards lol.

All part of the conspiracy!

Lol that reminds me of some idiots that hold on to something with a mandatory price being stubborn and not willing to budge instead of trying to get the best deal possible while still having value because the longer you sit you might f**k yourself out of a sale/money in general.

What is this conspiracy? Safeties with limited skillsets who can't accept that they aren't super valuable in the modern NFL game?

A big part of why the market for safeties sucks is due to the past two drafts having been absolutely chock full of them.

Teams just don't want to pay these guys $5, $6 or $7 million when rookies can be had for a tenth of that. New Orleans wanted to bring back Vaccaro, just not at the pricetag he was looking for.

While the Cards would like to add a safety, they aren't going to overpay any of them.

Sums it sup.

With teams spending incredible amounts of money for average QBs, they must cut costs in other areas. Right now, safety is an easy place to cut.

I was being facetious about the conspiracy comment, but you've now changed your narrative that all Reid has to do was wait until May 12th.

The teams are already fighting big RB contracts, and now it seems Safeties are next, however only two players have been directly asked by owners about their future protesting views.

The NFLPA believe that is against the CBA and have filed a grievance.

The two players concerned believe that teams colluded against them, and have filed a grievance.

Meh. If you ask for more than your worth to a team they aren't going to sign you. And they don't have to hire anyone that doesn't represent the public image their they want for their team. I don't believe for a second they colluded and sent notes, emails, or phone calls to each other saying "don't hire him".

And before someone throws out the crap about public image and hiring someone with a criminal past, it's their choice. They are responsible for pleasing their fans, not a bunch of arm chair social activists. It's an entertainment business. They want butts in the seats and people paying for NFL Sunday Ticket, and that is their only concern.

The NFLPA better have some specific language in the agreement about exactly what you can ask a player during an interview, and my bet is that they don't.

Kaep tried to start something but since last year he's been quiet. if you want to protest and change things, you can't just pick and choose when to do it. it's pretty much a full time job.

??? he's still out there doing things in the community. the media just isn't covering it, and he's not tweeting about it. if he did, you would jump on him for "showing off" that he's helping...

what is he doing and where?

the media doesn't need to promote his stuff, he should be doing it right ?, Nothing on his website, nothing on his twitter. the last time he even talked about something was when he won the award last April.. before that he was quite also.

Showing off is exactly what he should be doing right now for the cause.

Yes, you're right. It will be impossible to prove collusion even if it happened. Some owner would need to let the cat out of the bag. I suppose Irsay could get drunk and spill the beans

Lol, some owner getting hammered is their best hope of wining this.

"Amnesty International, the global human rights organization, gave Kaepernick its highest honor — the 2018 Ambassador of Conscience Award — in Amsterdam on Saturday. Past winners of the award, which "celebrates individuals and groups who speak out for justice," include former South Africa president Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, the education activist from Pakistan who survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban, and rock group U2."
