Well I guess the new thing is to sue so your name stays in the news.

The lawsuit just tells you how braindead Eric Reid is for a "smart" guy. What argument do you possibly have as long as Kenny Vacarro, a much better FS, is on the market. He sued while both Vacarro and Tre Boston were on the market and Reid was atleast getting some interest.

He put the nail in his own coffin and now has to sleep in the bed that he made. Goodluck getting employed after suing all of your employers and forcing them to give statements in court when the market is so weak that better players at the same position are still unemployed.

Not gonna lie, don't feel the least bit bad given how he's carried himself through this and the fact that he ended Navarro Bowman's career on a stupid tackle (totally missed the ball carrier and blindly threw himself into the side of Bowman's knees). Never once saw him look in the least bit guilty or even acknowledge that he was the one that did it. He won't own his own actions but expects the NFL to cure all of society's problems. Even after the NFL made significant contributions to raise awareness he slapped them and the NFLPA reps in the face and still rejected it.

f**k Reid, he's part of the problem in America - DIVISION - not part of the solution.

I don't know why Boldin hitched his wagon with Jenkins, but I guess he went along too long for the ride to back out.

You could tell he had difficulty defending Jenkins in that townhall meeting that was on ESPN.

Yeah but atleast Jenkins and Boldin were cooperating with the NFL and accepting of the NFL generously donating tens of millions of dollars to "social awareness" a ridiculously arbitrary cause. Reid gave the NFL and NFLPA reps a slap in the face saying that they don't represent the cause and aren't fixing anything. Like really? You think the NFL is going to fix every problem in society?

If it's so important to you then spend your money and your time actually fixing the issue, not dividing the country and making the situation worse through your words and actions. That's where Reid and Kaepernick seem to be different than the rest. They have an aura of hatred/arrogance about them and think it's cool and rebellious to do convenient disrespectful activism rather than actually help address the problem. In reality what did Kaepernick actually contribute to the solution? Most of the causes he supports and donated to have nothing to do with putting a dent in the underlying issue - just giving money to arbitrary funds in the black community and giving "know your rights" speeches that foster hatred towards police (where are the speeches that tell them to put up their hands, move slow and follow orders when stopped by police, not carrying loaded handguns and if they are how to diffuse a bad situation by not running or pointing the gun anywhere in their direction). You want to help the cause, how about work on bringing police and the black community together like many police forces are doing throughout the US- not wearing pig socks, giving anti police speeches to children, and throwing gas on the fire that is animosity against police in the black community (the very vicious cycle that keeps this issue burning).

Remember

Talk about the post, not the poster.

This thread is already quite long and continues to cycle around and around. As a result, there is nothing new to talk about. When that happens, things tend to get a bit heated and personal. I know that can be fun sometimes, but, take heart, there will at least be a PS game soon and we can talk about real football players then.

Titans may be interested in Reid, per headline.

Not gonna Reid it.

Reid drawing interest.. maybe it is all about talent level (sorry kaep, myth busted)

Good oppprtunity for him with Cyprien going down. Similar type of safety. Hope the Titans don't do a Joker style tryout by putting him and Vaccaro in the same room and locking the door.
Good dude. Hope he gets a gig soon!

Just like all the other veteran safeties who are mediocre in coverage.

In this passing league, coverage is far more important for ALL DBs than it was 10 years ago.

If I were Reid, I would lose 10-12 pounds and work on my coverage skills.
Some of you guys make it sound like he's Craig Dahl bad in coverage.

Nah, but he's not very good in coverage either. He's largely in the same tier as guys like Boston and Vaccaro. Vaccaro is still jobless and Boston after having a career year and snagging 5 INT's last season had to settle for a one year deal with $700,000 guaranteed.

The bottomline is that if you're more of a traditional type safety in free agency, you're not going to get paid very much. The past two drafts were stocked with safeties so many teams ended up with cheap young options at the position and now these guys hit free agency with the idea of getting paid $6-8 million a year while they are being offered roughly a third of that at best.
What kind of advisors do these guys have? Reid jumped on the Titanic when he partnered up with Kap and his girlfriend. NFL players put their life and limb on the line each game. Sure, help and be a voice to the oppressed but do it off company time and support your family.
