Im no fan of reid but he's no worse than our starting safeties.

We're so far under the cap, the only thing that is affected by Ward's contract is Jed's inheritance

I think Ried would be an upgrade at this point. IMO

They know what they would get with Reid. No need to work him out.

So if they find they need another safety, they now have three names they can look at.

Reid isn't playing this season regardless. He's focused on his collusion grievance.

Eric Reid is another niner who looked amazing around a great team, take that away he's a player with concussion issues who's good 70% of the time

It's true, however he's blackballed so it doesn't matter.

Neither safety is playing well, Tartt has signed an extension, but Colbert is on a 7th round rookie deal. You could easily give Reid a 1 year deal, move Tartt to FS and Reid in at SS.
