Eric Reed is not a trash ass player ... if you think Reed is trash then 80 percent of the players in the league are trash

He's not even in the league tho.

Yeah I get it... But Eric Reid does play for the Panthers... and he's not a trash ass player

.
It took all that to get to that lol talk about cheap laughs

Reid got ran over! Ingram lowered the boom, he played pretty well apart from that though.

Completely expected but he plays better closer to the LOS. Not looking great deep.

Yeah, he looks the same as the Niner years. He peaked his rookie season, honestly

yeah. I thought he was gonna be a beast safety. But he's incredibly average.

I don't think anyone claimed he was a beast, just that he is good enough to start in the league, he is clearly proving that for the Panthers.

Yes he is average, average gets you a job in the NFL.
Dude can't tackle. He makes contact with his head on just about every attempt he makes. He'll be a dribbling mess by age 50.
I was watching a game with the chargers and chiefs this past week and some one ran over the great rookie safety derwin james from the chargers .... no one calling him trash ... a lot of people on here wanted to draft him and he got straight ran over. so just because you get your ass ran over a couple of times doesn't make you a trash player. It's the NFL dammit .... you're gonna get your ass ran over a few times. Reid is a pretty good safety who is not elite by any stretch of the imagination, but for people to be calling him trash is strictly personal in my opinion. just like the type of people we have running the NFL. !!!!

In response to the suspicions of Panthers safety Eric Reid that he's been targeted for random PED testing that isn't really random, some have criticized the NFL Players Association for not saying anything. But here's the thing: The NFLPA can't say anything.

PFT has requested comment from the union, and the only comment is "no comment." The league likewise can't say anything, due to the confidentiality that applies to the PED policy. But here's the thing: Reid can affirmatively waive his confidentiality rights and direct the union and the league to release all information regarding his PED testing.

Unless and until Reid takes advantage of his ability to authorize disclosure of information regarding his PED testing or chooses to pursue a grievance, three specific explanations potentially apply to the situation: (1) Reid has been specifically and deliberately targeted for six or more "random" PED tests, which would be one of the biggest NFL scandals in recent years; (2) Reid hasn't actually been randomly tested as many times as he claims he has been tested (which is possible); or (3) Reid's tests, however many there have been, are the result of the legitimate application of the random testing process.

No one will know more unless and until Reid chooses to authorize the release of information or pursue a formal grievance. Unless and until he does, there's really nothing more to say.

Ball is in Reid's court.
I'm no fan of Reid's, but if it's true that he got randomly selected AGAIN......what a load of BS.

Problem is I'm not sure I believe everything the guy says. Would like to think he's being honest, but if he knows the rules, it sounds like he can make any allegations he wants to and knows the NFL can't respond. If they do, he has yet another claim to file against the NFL.

I know someone who works with the 9ers and by his math from a couple years ago Reid and Josh Garnett were two of the most stand-up and thoughtful guys in the building.

To be clear, I don't think the NFL is dumb enough to engage in a conspiracy across departments to try to get Reid out of the league (at the executive level they just want the story to go away -- they don't have skin in the game about the result of it), but from what I've heard told of Reid, I don't think he's lying either.

More likely is random chance I think, or a rogue employee with an ax to grind who keeps "randomly" selecting Reid, but not on orders from higher ups.

Reid always came across that way in interviews. His problem is that because he was next to Kaepernick in all the media hype, people put him in the same box. He isn't Kaepernick but his loyalty to a teammate appears to be connected to public perception. Reid never did any of the crazy stuff Kaepernick did; t-shirts, socks, etc.

Actually I think it's more he puts himself in that box. I don't think anyone would care about him if he didn't over inflate his value/ then sue the league when nobody signed him.

If he took the best deal he could get and played he'd just be another guy who kneels.

On Reddit they did a thorough breakdown on the odds and based on the total numbers, there should be at least 5 other players being tested as frequently as Reid if the system is indeed random.

So very unlikely but plausible. That's assuming he's being completely honest.

Its not random, but who cares. The NFL doesn't like the threat of losing power. If he hates it so much, don't work for that company.

Also, dude got HUGE after his rookie year. Like so damn big. He has to be on some juice like everyone else

Yes, he chose to do what he did. No one forced him. However, unlike Kaepernick, he came from an area where racism is common and police brutality happens all too often. So, combine his background and his loyalty to a teammate, and he is where he is.

I agree with your last sentence. I will add that he has been active in his community since before the kneeling started.

If they are still testing Reed, at this point in his post playing career....the NFL truly has overstepped their bounds....
"Just shut up and dribble" was a quote I don't agree with, but to Eric Reid "Just shut up!" Eric Reid complains like no other.
