Cost him $. He had to take a 1 year prove it deal to get back to his normal salary. I really don't see the big deal here. A player feels he was mismanaged. So what.

Yeah. He was upset because of the way things went down with Bowman's release and mad because The team wanted to start Tartt and after he was benched was asked to play LB which he didnt want to do.Not a big deal but because he was benched in his contract year he lost alot of money in his eyes.

Reid glossing over the fact that the league had enough film of him playing at his regular position for teams to determine how much they thought he was worth. Also ignoring the fact that Bowman was done. One game or a handful of games playing out of position did not hurt Reid as much as the oversaturated safety market and his own hubris did.
Can anyone who watches Panther's games comment: is he even any good this year?

Never lived up to his potential while in SF. Tartt is a clear upgrade.

He's serviceable from what I've seen. His grievances are stupid. Our owner supported him. We offered him a contract to be a backup. He just having selective memory like a little hoe

Yup same player. Makes a nice play here and there but gets burned, blown up and take bad angles. I hope we attack him and make him look silly.

Oh no, a disgruntled former player who didn't live up to expectations, openly protested, takes cheap shots, rejected a contract offer, etc., yet claims he's not bitter and won't forget.

I'm glad he's not a Niner anymore and hope we torch him through the air and truck his a$$ into the ground!

i used to want him back but after his little tirade. he can f**k off
How fast the NBA (and its' players) changed their stance on Chinese social injustice when millions of dollars could affect them. With the protests against the National Anthem in the NFL, how many players are still protesting? Kap had enough backing that made him millions. In the end it's all about the money. Which is OK, because NFL players take severe punishment. Do your job make as much as you can and when the game is finished with you protest to your hearts fullest.

This!

The only reason he's known more is not for his average football skills, but the platform given for his other endeavors. Time for the Niners to put the former on display this Sunday
We definitely have the players at RB and TE to take advantage of Reid. Could be a big day for those guys, especially as we try to neutralize the Panthers pass rush.
A thread about the #59 ranked safety whose little brother is way better.

Seriously...
