Heck, why not? It's always been fun to root for the underdogs, and it doesn't get more underdog-ish than 0-16. I'm curious what people feel is reasonable to expect as far as wins this season from Cleveland with their new roster. After looking over everything, I could see them managing to get at least 5 wins next year, maybe even more if the team gels and starts to believe in each other. 8-8 seems like the max in my mind, but you never know.

Here's a snapshot of their schedule:

Week 1: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 2: at New Orleans Saints on Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. ET on Fox
Week 3: vs. New York Jets on Sept. 20 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NFL Network
Week 4: at Oakland Raiders on Sept. 30 at 4:05 p.m. ET on Fox
Week 5: vs. Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 6: vs. Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 7: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. ET on Fox
Week 8: at Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 9: vs. Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 10: vs. Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. ET on Fox
Week 11: BYE
Week 12: at Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 13: at Houston Texans on Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 14: vs. Carolina Panthers on Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. ET on Fox
Week 15: at Denver Broncos on Dec. 15 at 4:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network
Week 16: vs. Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 17: at Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS

Some tough games right out of the gate and throughout their schedule. Their roster looks much improved - some good players here.

They have some talent, but it's not like Tyrod Taylor scares anyone. If Mayfield is the star they hope for though, they could be a winner again by 2019.

On offense, their line went from very good to decent without Joe Thomas, but they have two Pro Bowl WRs, a star-in-the-making at TE, and a nice three-deep RB arsenal with Hyde/Chubb/Duke.

On defense, they have a Pro Bowl LB and young potential stars on the DL. They're decent at S and CB, and could be well above average if Ward works out for them.

Tough schedule though. I could still see them winning only 3 games, but I feel like they have enough to steal some others they shouldn't win on paper.

The Browns provided some entertainment on draft day. I doubt many people thought Mayfield would be the first guy off the board, and the Chubb they drafted was not the one I thought they would draft. But that doesn't mean they were bad picks. I like many of the players they selected.

The rebuild seems to be going well so far, but given the dearth of talent they started with and the fact that Cleveland isn't a great free agent destination, it will probably take awhile to get to respectability. Their best bet is probably to suck another year to get good draft picks. I think most people are inclined to root for the Browns, given their long NFL history and reputation as loveable losers.
VERY tough schedule!

Possible wins over Jets, Raiders, Bengals, Ravens.

IMO, they won't beat the Ravens and Bengals twice.

At best, 4-12.
A team that can quit in a hurry knowing Hue is on his last life line. They made some improvements but they're still Clv so I'm saying south of 3 wins.

About time the Browns organization gets it affairs in order. If there is one team in the AFC North that I can root for without question it's the sorry ass Browns. The Bengals to a lesser extent. Screw the Steelers and the Ravens. Tired of those teams. All these prime draft slots have to work out for the Browns sometime, certainly with their new regime making the picks, right? We'll see. I don't expect a vast improvement, but they can't go 0-16 two years in a row.

I f***s wit them in Madden.

Beating a guy that uses the raiders or Pats as the Browns =rage quits and extra salt.
A snake bit team near my birthplace (Akron). I hope they start to turn the corner.

I like the direction that they're headed, but this isn't the year for huge improvement. 3-4 wins tops, in my opinion.
2 wins, I am guessing. Another two years before they could start looking average.
4-12
On paper looks to be a much improved team.
