Not me. I didn't think they'd be killing it, but I thought they would be better than they have been. Whoops.
I'll get a few good laughs reading through those posts this weekend.

I know the guy was celebrated a great deal when he came into the league, but I'm of the opinion that he'd better get his act together or he'll be the latest in a long line of Brown QB busts to be shown the door. Sure, I know he's upset. So were a lot of the 49ers last year when Jimmy G. got hurt and our playoff aspirations ended in a 4-12 season. I get it. It's tough. But I don't remember Richard Sherman telling anyone to blow off or walking out on anyone. I don't remember Nick Mullens or even Beathard walking out of a press avail.
What is the guy thinking? And those stupid "my house" commercials need to end too. Those things are terrible.

I could understand if the reporter was being childish and a critical, but it was a simple question and Mayfield just called the question "stupid" and then bolted.

He's coming to realization that he's just not very good. That's got to be frustrating for anybody.

his offense line is complete dogs**t. He might not see the field a well as people thought, but no QB is gonna play very well with that OL. Dorsey is a jackass, dude get's flashy names and spend a ton of cash but forgets where it all starts.

True, but Grossi was asking him some pretty legit questions, all Mayfield could come back with was "You don't know, cause you don't play". No s**t he doesn't play, I'd say just about every reporter in the world didn't play in the NFL, but their job is to write your story and Baker just cracked under pressure. If I'm a Cleveland Brown fan I'd be worried.

Cleveland fans seem to be defending him
People need to know the history behind this.Tony Grossi is constantly asking Baker dumb, pointless questions. He is a tabloid journalist, Clevekand fans know Grossi and Mary Kay Cabot have zero credibility. @Browns @clevelanddotcom @PlayersTribune @espn

Cleveland native and fan here...the Browns beat reporters are absolute trash and Grossi, the one asking the questions is a hack. Not defending Baker, but that's just being real
— Toxic Matthewlinity (@_MateoMontana_) October 30, 2019
Tony Grossi and Mary Kay Cabot thrive off of negative reporting and bad questions in the Cleveland local media, to the extent the national media eats it up making the "non-story" a relevant story to everyone else. To us, this is their every week bs. Fanning the flames so to speak
— Zach⚡️Rogers (@ZQuinnR) October 30, 2019
Non-Cleveland people....just take a look at @TonyGrossi last 20 or 30 tweets and then ask yourself how you'd feel if that person asked you questions about your job every day.

The reporter is Tony Grossi... he has all of Cleveland blocked and is a joke of a reporter, this is why he is employed by @ESPNCleveland because they love to be in the spotlight for doing dumb things! #firegrossi

It's funny reading comments from people bashing Baker when they have NO IDEA who the f**k Grossi even is or what his track record is like.
— NoWearMan (@NoWearMan714) October 30, 2019
Grossi also criticized Mayfield endlessly before the draft and vowed to retire if the team drafted him (and literally all of Cleveland wishes he would). He has a vendetta against Mayfield, and most people in the Browns organization. All this context is critical to this story.

We all know how bad beat writers can be... It is the new Skip Bayless form of journalism.
That said, if you are a franchise QB you can be frustrated, but Baker has got to learn how to stay composed. He has been a hot head since college. I just can't ever see Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Rivers, Big Ben, or Wilson react like that. At worst, they may make a snarky comment to disarm the dumb questions.

He probably has more touchdowns than Leaf did in his entire career.
