Just think it's funny how lots of ppl thought they were contenders, I mean it's the browns.

More fallout from the Jarvis Landry tirade during the Browns-Cardinals game: I'm told by two sources that before the game ended, 'multiple' Browns players yelled at the Arizona sideline to 'come get me'--asking to come play for the Cardinals. Landry, I'm told, was one of them.

I think the question all along was coaching. There is no question they had the talent, as evidenced by many of the top tier teams they've beaten. They just have horrendous coaching. He has absolutely no control of the locker room and is clearly not a leader of men. Perception was definitely reality -- Kitchens was a terrible hire from the start and I have no idea what they saw in him. I thought MAYBE the talent could carry Kitchens, but of course, history tells you that it usually can't.
He's already lost that team and I feel like they have no choice but to fire him at this point.

Ego. I actually wanted the Browns to be good but they got way to far ahead of themselves in the ego department. You have Mayfield constantly saying stupid s**t, OB putting himself first telling teams(Jimmy G) that he wants out basically quitting, you also have guys like OB and Landry abusing the uniform policy wearing stupid cleats to bring attention to themselves. Now you have this. These guys thought that their talent alone was enough.Originally posted by OnTheClock:Originally posted by jersey49er:Just think it's funny how lots of ppl thought they were contenders, I mean it's the browns.

And yes Kitchens is a terrible coach as well but I think the diva mentality of some of the players played a huge role as well.

You have to know if your coach can handle the strong personalities I think. Kitchens clearly can't. But truthfully, you also need guys to be team players. Strong personalities aren't always me-first guys of course. But in this case, it seems that's what you've got.

Would love to see Jarvis in this offense, even over Beckham

The browns need to hire Ron Rivera asap, but they won't because Dorsey has a massive ego. He will want a coach who shows deference.
