Khalil Mack thread

https://www.12up.com/posts/6137701-report-raiders-could-end-up-trading-khalil-mack-due-to-his-holdout

Here is just one of many articles. Everybody wants their team to go after him and I'm sure everyone here would say pull the trigger if a deal could be made.

What would you offer as a trade if you were Lynch and if you don't think we have a chance at getting him, where do you think he lands?

I'd trade the 2019 1st round pick, 2020 3d, and Arik Armstead. Then sign him long term to complete the holy trinity of franchise qb, shutdown corner, and dominant pass rusher.
We've been following this in the Raiders thread in the NFL forum.

If the Raiders are dumb enough to trade away Khalil Mack, trade discussions will likely begin with two first-round picks.

The bolded I'd do. Two 1st's? Pass.

Someone else can overpay then.
Maybe a 1st and a second plus Armstead. Two firsts doesn't sound bad if we're in the Superbowl the next two years. Honestly, I've been liking our mid to late round picks more than our first rounders as of late, so I'm pondering where I stand on two firsts.... I don't think I'd be upset in trading two potential opportunities at acquiring a top tier talent next year, and the year after for a guaranteed chance at acquiring one. It would make the next two offseasons of draft coverage horribly boring though

wouldn't give up that much without good language in the trade. a 2019 1st round pick, as well as a 2019 5th round pick and 2020 3rd round pick. but if he makes a pro bowl in either of first 2 years with us, then 2020 pick turns into a 1st round pick. if he looks like he can, then two first round picks isn't a lot for a pass rusher who can be a HOFer.

I like where your head is at. I'd be down for this as well, but there is very little downside in acquiring him. He's been extremely healthy and productive without a ton of talent around him. He is literally the missing piece and imagine teams having to pick between double teaming Buckner or Mack and if Thomas develops, we could have 3 pass rushers that need to be double teamed and can play all 3 downs. We'd have the best front 7 in the league the next few years. One cause of concern is if you front load a deal for him which would benefit us, is he going to show up the final years of that deal when he says I'm only making this much this year because I got paid prior. The language is key

I'd do two 1sts for him. If we got him those picks would be late first round picks anyway. And he's a blue chip player and I don't think and hope we aren't in range of that kinda player next year in the draft

and this proposal isn't that farfetched either, language like this is pretty common when it involves players that can make that much money. i think we should do this trade if it's there, but, if other teams still view Mack as a true force, this wouldn't be that hard to match or top...

Trading for Mack would be a dream come true, I'd have no problem trading two 1st for him if he's a garenteed resign, this defense would be crazy, take pressure off every position including Solomon Thomas mostly..all that being said I think there is no way the Raiders trade him to the niners, it would be like the mets trading Degrom to the yanks..!

two firsts can be critical to our rebuild and it still wouldn't put us in SB contention

I'll trade the #32 pick two years straight, no doubt.
