He probably vowed never to help that organization again.

Practically gave them Jamie Collins who was a pro bowl linebacker with the Patriots

Where is this coming from? The Rooney's don't trade star players.

Check into their history.

Most teams don't trade stars, what's your point? There's clearly friction going on between AB, the coach, and Big Ben....I wouldn't expect them to all come out and say it but the fact that you benched one of your best offensive players in the most important game of the season means something.

this doesn't sounds like things are going smoothly imo

"Obviously we take his lack of communication and his lack of presence, particularly on Saturday prior to the game, to be something that's very significant and will be handled appropriately so," Tomlin said Wednesday in his end-of-season news conference.
"I'm not going to speculate on trades and things of that nature. We haven't formally received a request in that regard, so I'm not going to speculate. I'm not going to speculate where the discipline and things of that nature might go. Just know that it's going to be addressed."

See L. Bell and any other disgruntled Steelers players from the past 30 years.

I'd probably give up the #2 overall pick. We should just build our team like the Chiefs anyway. Defense is overrated.

Thank god you're not the GM

well that's not true

Browns agree to trade Danny Shelton to Patriots. The Browns agreed to trade defensive tackle Danny Shelton to the New England Patriots, a source informed of the deal told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. In return, the Browns will receive a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and Cleveland will send a 2018 fifth-rounder to New England, per Rapoport.

The New England Patriots have traded linebacker Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns for a draft pick. The trade is for a third-round compensatory pick if the Browns are awarded one, a source told ESPN's Pat McManamon.

Then the whole Brown's were willing to give up a 1st for Jimmy G sounds untrue.

well if we pick a guy, and he busts in a year, we'll see how that goes.

For me, I'm all about picking a sure fire stud to improve the team. I don't like gambling. Despite drafting in the top 5, Lynch has already wasted a #3 overall pick.

this is a moot point though, since the Steelers wont trade him.

That said, I wouldn't give up draft capital in the form of #2 overall.

I think it was more Bill wanting Jimmy G out of the AFC and wanting to do right by Jimmy G and send him to a good coach who Bill has known for a while.

They couldn't trade Bell, he never signed his franchise tag.

I'd still give the #2 pick and next years 1st for Mack. But a receiver even if it was Jerry Rice in his prime the most I'd offer is a 4th rounder.
What's wrong with swapping firsts? An edge rusher will be there at 20. You get your #1 receiver. Yes please.

This is true, and he did so with his classmate from his alma mater.

Did you not read what I wrote? Bill wasn't trading him until the trade deadline (oct 31st) they (Browns) reportedly offered that back before the draft that yr.

Bill kept JG as long as he could.

Then his pal did him a solid in return by sending over a good young tackle in return for a 3rd round pick. It's all unicorns and gummy bears in the 49er/Pats love connection.
