Some here feel a 3 year rental for a 31 year old player for 50 mil in cap space, 30 mil guaranteed and our #3 & probably a #4 (no #5) that will do anything for money including trash talking his own team is IMO a no fly zone. I tired of AB using the catch phrase (I was disrespected). I was always taught to get respect you had to give it and that's not AB. This was never about respect, it was always about money. Glad the 49ers passed on this drama queen

Or, our morals spared us from a host of STDs.Originally posted by Southpaw79:Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. No one really wanted him and the second he didn't want to play in buffalo it became Oakland or bust.
To get upset with this organization for being one of the 30 teams who didn't want Brown, is kind of ridiculous.
This. And Rapoport just said due to Brown's contract demands the Eagles weren't all the way in the running so it ended up just being the Raiders. Really glad the Niners didn't give up that total trade package. Now, looking forward to this week and seeing what the Niners do.

Philly would've destroyed their cap space the moment they traded for Brown and they just got cap space back.

If the Niners do something not getting AB is fine, but if they keep missing out on big time upgrades Lynch should be out after this year.

These are the thoughts of people who wanted Brown at all costs. Lol. Glad you're not my friend.

Lynch should be out cause you can't build this team like we do in Madden?

We are 68 million under the cap. I go to games every year, my brothers have season tickets and Jed is hoarding money. What is the excuse 4 not to taking some risks? You think you're going to win a super bowl with Goodwin and pink hair as your wide receivers? We will not. Save me the character b******t, Big Ben still having sex with passed out girls in bar restrooms while his goons watch?

Both Lynch and Shanny were given six year deals for a reason and they're not going anywhere. They took on a 49er team that had drafted poorly for years under the previous regime and had to be completely rebuilt. That process is underway now. Patience. Our wait will be rewarded. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I am so HAPPY the DIVA that is Antonio Brown isn't coming to the 49ers. Kudos to both Lynch and Shanny for their focus on building through the draft.
At the same time, I do feel for fans of the Raiders. Taking on head cases like AB once worked wonders under the old Al Davis regime, but those days are long gone.

Bay area as in Vegas?
Probably not for 2 more years.

After going through pages of this thread, it looks like most Niner are happy they didn't try to acquire him
However, it was the Great Bill Walsh who said "teams that are always building for the future, are always building for the future " smh
