So true man! All this time I thought it was the GOAT HC and GOAT QB that created that long term success. You're right, it was the management of their salary cap! How stupid of me.

We really need to get rid of Shanny and Jimmy G and hire some tier-1 accountants.

Good luck trying to base your roster building philosophy mimicing New England.

At least half the league has tried and failed over the past 15 years.

Well 2 of them were available this off-season and the best WR who will likely be a first ballot hall of famer just went for.peanuts. I'm tired off hearing about his attitude. The players made it clear they wanted him and they were excited to draft Foster who was a player that no one else was touching because of his issues. I don't buy for a second it was his attitude, this was about money and the York's being cheap.

So either they have some sort of assurance that we will get OBJ or York won't let them make a move that would cost him so much money. Either way we could have a HoF receiver on our roster right now for JG to throw to but instead we we have Bourne, Goodwin and Pettis. Not even a proven #2.

Two of them were available?

Who was the second one?

OBJ. Two were available and now we are down to one. Even though I know you knew that. You wouldn't be here if u didn't. You were just setting up some arguement likely based on wording or the fact that NYG had denied he was available even though he likely is.

OBJ has never been on the table lol. Nothing has officially been reported saying the Giants are willing to trade OBJ. It's been pure speculation

How many other teams have a roster full of #3 & #4 wide receivers and have almost $70M in cap space?

If you are Niner fan who has been under York ownership for the most part, its not a surprising turn of events

More like, why out of 32 teams were the Raiders the only ones willing to do this? The same team that traded Khalil Mack, a young edge rusher because he'd cost too much and the one that just traded away their top offensive lineman because he cost too much.

Literally nothing they do makes any sense.

Plus they unloaded Amari Cooper!

That also includes having the best QB in the game at a unrealistic salary. That has more to do with them being flexible than anything else.

They only have one other player with a double digit millions per year salary. It's not just Tom.

Raiders still suck, will always suck.

We, on the other hand, and our lack of any risky moves will just wither away, and die by decay. A far more boring way to go down for us fans.......ya no thanks.

Taking shots at what? Remaining in the AFC West basement? The money they gave to Brown could have been given to Mack to keep an elite young pass rusher for years to come. They traded away a 24 year old #1 WR and just dumped their top lineman. The player they did acquire is a 31 year old WR that in no way fits with their rebuilding timeline.

Man I hope the Raiders play their final year in their old colosseum...that disgusting-ass-crappy-hole.

The fantasy football mentality of this generation is difficult to reason with.

Brown will still cost much less than Mack, but your point is valid. This is a lot of money for a team that wouldn't pay up for one of the best players in football.

1. How did Mack help that pedestrian pass rush all those years in OAK? I love how ppl never mention how stacked the Bears were in support players and their DC's competence when it comes to Mack's value. On the Raiders Mack had little value considering how pedestrian their pass rush and defense as a whole performed.

2. They have a f**kton of draft picks. Do you think those won't turn into players of need?? Why are you conveniently forgetting to add them into the equation of moves their FO has made? As far as I'm concerned they have made a plethora of moves since Gruden took over. Compared to this FO, it's a joke. I mean McKinnon for $16M guaranteed? lol.

Mack is only worth that money in the right system.

As far as having the most impact for the Raiders

Brown > Mack

And it's not even close.
