No denying defense wins championships still

Debatable. St Louis had the best d talent wise. What they did not have was a qb/ best coach.

The 9ers would have had to outbid the Raiders significantly to get Brown. There was no way Pitt would have sent Brown to the team he wanted to go to for close to or equal value.
I'm glad we didn't go all in on Brown. First of all he's already shown he will quit on his team if he doesn't like what's going on. We don't need another guy that causes problems either in the locker room or off the field. Two he's 30 and most likely going to start declining, whether it's this year or 2 years from now. Three, we didn't have the draft picks to give up for him. We need all the picks we have to take advantage of a deep defensive draft class. With Kyle's spread the ball around system he probably would have been complaining that he didn't get the ball enough. We came out ahead on this one.
All will be forgiven if we land Allen or Bosa
Alot of people commenting on AB's production and how he will contribute with the Raiders, but all forget that the production came as a result of having a good QB throwing to him, OL that blocked and RB which kept 7 in the box, all of which the Raiders don't have. He will never get anywhere close to 100 catches or 1,000 yds on this crappy Raiders team. By week 7 he will have a tantrum and the train will begin to derail.

We traded for Garopplo, and signed Sherman and McKinnon. Those were the top available at those positions. Yes, stop. The crybaby routine is old. We can't sign everyone for top dollar.

None of those guys are top tier players for their position, which is what you said.

Maybe Kwon will prove to be.

Again, it's not about signing everyone. It's that one top player at his position was available for peanuts and we passed. That's the issue. You trying to make this about "not signing everyone" is what's tired....especially because no one is advocating we sign everyone.

Still won't admit you were dead wrong thinking that the Steelers had all the leverage huh?

Ok. Keeping it moving.

Well we can't exactly sign players who aren't available. We can only sign players who ARE available, and those three were the best available at the times that we signed them.

A 3rd and a 5th is not "peanuts," for a 31 year old (when the season starts) WR on the back half of his career. You add in that huge salary and it's a very risky move. Add in his toxic and weird personality and you risk destroying the locker room. Of course, on a fantasy football team, the locker room doesn't matter, so I understand why the fantasy football generation loved the thought of having Brown on this team.

AB was too expensive, but a mediocre Tampa Bay LB coming off a torn ACL?......SOLD!!!!!!!! Make him the highest paid at his position

Don't remember saying they had all the leverage. Did say they have leverage over him. He tanked his value and is on a sh squad because of that. I'm sure he's happy about being paid though.

SMH.

A dude who misses a f**kton of tackles coming off an ACL tear = $27M.

Arguably the best WR in the game and guaranteed to give you more wins per season = too old, too expensive, not worth a 3rd and a 5th.

He is not a Niner and plays for the Faders. By definition, he is part of one of our rivals. He, thus, no longer exists.

A 3rd and a 5th is absolutely peanuts for an elite player.

Your opinion that he has a toxic personality is a fair opinion to have, but it was a laughable one to have if it was had more than a few months ago. That's why I am personally willing to overlook it. If he had a history of it, then I would be more concerned.

And once again, fantasy football has absolutely nothing to do with this. Zero.
