Still better than safeties we got. He's got more interceptions this season than the whole Niners team.

Old dudes that get injured a lot is not the way to build your team. Draft well and sign dudes no older than 27.
i greatly fear all lynch will do is resign ward and say. we like our guys and they just need to stay healthy

I f**king refuse to believe lynch is that stupid, Thomas is a hall of fame talent where as in Ward when he decides to play is average to below

My heart stopped when you said Thomas thought you meant Soloman
He head and shoulders better than anyone we got, for that reason alone should sign him

How often has Earl been injured the last 3/4 seasons? Seems like he's always out. Gotta be careful don't' want to spend on aging often injured vets. He's a definite upgrade so I'd be willing to take the risk

"Dallas, San Francisco and Kansas City are among the teams that could have interest in Thomas in free agency."

Let's go!

Dude broke his leg twice otherwise he has been relatively injury free.

He had a 107 consecutive game streak before a hammy kept him out one week.

Then a broken leg in 2016 and then a healthy pro bowl season in 2017 and then a broken leg in '18.

6 pro bowls in 9 seasons (only played 4 games in his 9th season though)

You are tripping if you think he shouldn't be one of the top FA priorities.
With his age and injuries I wonder what the market for his skill is, could be able to get him on a "prove it deal"

He was an all-pro in 2017 and played great this year until getting hurt. Don't think he will have to play on a prove it deal.

Being that the team plays his style of defensive scheme and Sherm recruiting him might allure him here. Hope so.
He is a good sign, short term, front loaded of course. But if you can get him to help stabilize the secondary and teach the young kids like Sherm, that is a really worth while signing. You might even get a pro bowl level campaign or two out of him before age catches up given the chip on his shoulder about how it ended in Seattle. I would bet we are the leader in the clubhouse to land him just for the chance to play Seattle twice and his relationship with Sherm. Cowboys I am sure the primary competitor for his services as they have been flirting with him at every opportunity for a couple years now.

I would imagine there will still be a robust market for him. Before he broke his leg last year he was still the top FS in the league. I have a good feeling that we're the team that will land him in two months, but it's not gonna be cheap.
Just send him a blank check right now.
