Would you rather pay 12.5 percent California tax on your new giant salary or 5 percent which is the max tax bracket in Ohio. Not to mention cost of living.

12.5 mill might not even get you a 5 bedroom house in SF. Have 12.5 mill in Cleveland and you could probably purchase the entire city.

Sad but true.

Would you rather pay 12.5 California tax on your new giant salary or what Ohio charges which is probably much less? That's a lot of cash if makes like 80mm
Yeah you have a point because California taxes are ridiculous but that's the price to live in California .

You'd think we could figure out a way to help players dodge those income taxes.

Any GM can kill it when they have cap space and don't give a f**k about it.

True. And it's been proven that's not how championships are won.
But it's fun from a fans perspective lol

To be fair, they've also drafted really well recently (which is a bit easier when you have the #1 overall repeatedly). But they have made the right choices. Myles Garrett was obviously the right choice, but Mayfield wasn't the clear cut #1. And their other picks have been good too.

No doubt.
Hardest thing for them will be building a winning culture.
