Come on man you really dont think they're working on alternatives to Keenum as we type??

Obviously Elway has whiffed badly on Osweiler, Lynch and now Keenum but he certainly has been quick to move on. New coaching staff most likely means new QBs anyways.

About time fangio landed a HC position, he'll make that broncos D even better than it was, but their offense is still lacking.

Absolutely. Congrats to him. Great hire. He'll probably make Donatell DC and oversight while he focuses attention to the offensive side of the ball.

I wonder if he'll be ball-control like Harbaugh or if he'll be more wide open as he was interested in working with Shanahan and Gase.

I doubt he'll have any actual input into the offense. Kubiak is more than capable of holding that down. They're basically like co-head coaches.

He's got Gary Kubiak calling plays, so you know the priority will be to establish the outside zone.

Seriously? They just won the HC sweepstakes this offseason IMO.

Yup they wanted an offensive minded coach preferably who once liked a tweet that Sean McVay sent out 3 years ago.

Kubiak helped the Broncos land Keenum.
About time. Congrats! Good hire.

Land him on a two year contract, he obviously was never considered a long term solution at QB. No doubt if Denver can upgrade at QB they will, if not they have a serviceable option on a team friendly contract.

I hope Denver trades up for Haskins.

You think Fangio is some QB guru? Elway has shown he has no idea how to choose a QB for his team, its not gonna change now the Fangio is the HC. Chiefs and Chargers are gonna be good for awhile. Broncos will be lucky to fight for a WC spot, more likely gonna be 8-8 to 9-7 team for awhile

Unless Rivers retires.

No but Kubiak knows the scheme better than anyone but old man Shanahan. He'll get far more out of Keenum than they got this year and likely will be instrumental in picking a QB since Elway has shown he doesn't have a clue on how to evaluate one.

Obviously Fangio isnt, thats why they announced Kubiak as OC at the same time. He'll handle the offense, which doesnt even really need an elite QB to win. His offense is very balanced, leans heavily on PA very QB friendly. See the 2015 Broncos, Manning was a shell of himself and the Broncos still won the Super Bowl.

As is im pretty close 9-7 10-6 border line playoff team, only because KC and LA are already playing at a high level. But if they find a better QB in FA or the draft sky could be the limit. Fangio and Kubiak are both battle hardened, pretty sure thats going to be the best offense/defense coaching duo in the NFL.

Now look for Rick Dennison (Kubiak's right hand man) to come back to Denver as an assistant coach on offense, if the Jets let him. Good chance they will since their between coaches.
