Fangio D's always take about 8 or so weeks to start clicking. Very complicated Defense. Notice that they have been playing well when Flacco wasn't making mistakes. Then Flacco becomes Flacco Thursday night.

That performance last night, on both sides of the ball was pathetic, however it starts on the offensive side. If they can't move the ball, the rest of the team gets down...and they did last night.
It starts with Flacco, but it is really Elway. It was laughable when Fox put up the list of QBs Elway has brought in and then Aikman said, "Elway should know QBs but has struggled to bring in a good one."
NO! Elway doesn't know QBs or he would have found one by now.
It isn't the OC, as that is the same offense that Kyle is using to tear things up in SF.
It is Elway and a defensive-minded DC that is wasting a lot of talent in Bronco land.
Too bad.

Broncos radio is just great this morning. And both the guys agree there is no way Elway get fired cause the owner doesn't want to be known as the guy who fired Elway. Lol pathetic. They want the team to being Adam Peters back and trade all the vets away and Just burn the team down.
Fire or demote Paraag? I don't see that happening.
So please don't put words in my mouth. Mistakenly wanting to move Lynch to that position is not akin to me saying firing anybody.
If Paraag is already the PoFO, then that is my mistake. There is still a position the 49ers can promote Lynch to while also keeping Peters by promoting him to GM.
I would hope you would be smart enough to have inferred that much.

Whatever happens, I hope they are patient with Lord Fangio.

The problem with hiring an older defensive coordinator like Fangio is the offense they would want to run. Ball Control/Game Management type. No innovations. He brought in a vet QB, washed up one at that, to run it and what happens when the other team can score on your defense? You have no chance.
I hope Vic succeeds but i'm not holding my breath.

Feel bad for Fangio, but he should've known the situation he was getting into. Denver might be one of the model franchises, but with that comes unreasonable expectations of being an annual playoff contender when the QB situation was a total mess and the roster is aging.
I don't doubt that he will be a very good HC one day, but I can't see Denver ending well for him. The situation is going to keep getting worse with several key aging vets on their way out. The fanbase has no patience because they are too used to winning.

They have some weapons with Lindsay, Sutton and Fant. Pair that with Dalton Risner and they have some core pieces long term.

That works if he has a strong-minded OC. The problem is, there are not many situations like that. Belichick would seem to be an exception, however, he understands the offensive side of things. He just has confidence in McDaniel to execute the O.
In the case of Denver, though Scangarello may be capable, he doesn't have the experience to stand up to Fangio and Elway about the need for a quality QB in order to build an offense.

DJ he is giving you a hard time for saying defensive-minded DC, not defensive-minding head coach. I should hope a defensive coordinator is defensive-minded. LOL

I didn't put words in your mouth. I asked a question.
Paraag is the POFO, has been for awhile, I am smart enough to have figured that out.

You sure expect A LOT of an offensive coordinator. Not only does he have to design an offense & call plays. He also has to tell the coach and GM who the QB should be? Was it Saleh's fault that SF didn't have quality pass rushers the last few years? Should he should of demand Lynch go sign oh i dont know Ezekiel Ansah?

I would hope that the OC has a significant voice in who the QB that will be running offense is. Anything less would be dysfunctional.

Well i guess he can always do what Shanahan did and give a power point presentation about why he should be let out of his contract.
