You can say that for almost any coordinators- let's take away his best player.

Id say he's more qualified than most D coordinators given what he's dealt with in the secondary and the revolving door of injured players. Not to mention multiple linebackers developing under him, none of whom were high picks.

they did bring in Bettcher last year, he has plenty of DC experince. Maybe as a fall back option?

IMHO I think he wasn't a fall back option, I think they just wanted a guy with DC experience that Meco can lean on whenever needed.

Bettcher could conceivably leave this off season if someone offers him a DC job. Maybe he follows Bowles or Leftwich as their DC.

Yessss. Demeco bounces after next season and lord Fangio takes over.
