For what it's worth, Vic Fangio told me late last night, "Nothing has been decided on my end." There is a huge amount of mutual respect between Kyle Shanahan and Fangio, a highly successful Niners DC under Jim Harbaugh. And it appears the 49ers will have an opening soon.

Could Fangio run some version of a 4-3 or if not, does our personnel translate well to a 3-4 transition? I remember the defenses under Fangio with Harbaugh. They were incredible.

I dont like Nick as a 3-4 end. He isnt Justin Smith. Could he possibly play OLB ala Ahmad Brooks? Im sure if Fangio does join the team how they plan to use Bosa would have been a big part of the decision

Nah. Too awkward. The ppl that fired him as head coach now demote him and give him a DC position. Not happening…

To be fair, you can only lead a horse to water, you can't force them to drink it.
That said, lord Fangio did not force Jalen Hurts to fumble the ball which led to a TD in the second quarter.

That's true, but two of their 2nd half touchdowns were wide open. So they weren't really lead to water there lol.
