Not to break up this bukkake orgy in here, but I don't ever remember him being this aggressive (as far as blitzing) when he was here. It seems like he has adjusted his scheme to fit what he has there in Chicago, and what a front 7 they have.
True. But our front 7 was better and maybe felt more comfortable getting pressure with 4.

By far the best defensive gameplan I've seen against McVay.

Bears are blessed with this guy. How he doesn't have a head coaching gig already... not sure.

Lord Fangio making the Rams his b***h once again. I thought I was watching Jared Goff's rookie footage.

He should get a HC gig next year but I don't think he will, most of the new coaches are going to be brought in help young QB's, they're going to want offensive minded HC's.
I could see him possibly getting the Bucs job though. Those wanting Donatell can forget it as well, he'll stay with Fangio either as a secondary coach or as his DC.

Does he remember the time he went to Chicago and the #Bears shut his offense down? https://t.co/36XUGOQD1o

The game was like Foreman vs. Frazier. Definitely a signature game in Vic Fangio's career. If I were an up and coming OC or a offensive position coach looking to be an OC, I'd definitely hitch my train to Fangio if he were going to be head coach. I'd probably prefer to call the defensive plays however.

I'm looking around the league and I think the current crop of head coaches in waiting is a bit scarce. I feel this off-season is his best shot to get a head coach nod. Who he can link up with as a offensive coordinator will go a long way.
I read somewhere when he interviewed here in 2015, he was pitching Kyle as his OC and we ended go withing Tomsula which lead to Chryst... .

Just to bring things in perspective fangio was definently good when he was here but he was no savant. He was very passive and rarely blitzed and pass rush was a problem even with aldon and jsmith.
Without mack he would still have a top 10 defense but they wouldn't be stiffling like they are today.
He also had a problem making adjustments when things weren't working.
