If Fangio gets a HC job, Donatell will be his DC.
With Bruce Arians and Dan Campbell out there, its a lot more likely that Bowles winds up as DC for one of them.

Will the Bears let Donatell go with Fangio...
They might offer Donatell the vacant DC position if Donatell don't want to follow Vic to Denver.
I think they are good together also, but one of them has to take a back seat, and it's been Donatell so far.

I don't think you can block a coordinator from becoming a head coach.

My point is, Donatell may decide to be on his own with the Bears defense if he is offered the Bears DC position. I think there's a good chance of that too since he had been backseat to Fangio for awhile.

Now, it just buys you a ticket to the playoffs.

Still have to have SOME offense. That has always been the case. The Jags had a championship defense last year but the offense was. Their window is open now and they will need to draft well, especially with no first round picks.
The team we see now is essentially the team they have to win with.
Bears were +2 in turnovers Sunday vs. Eagles. Home teams that were +2 in the playoffs the past 40 years were 112-4.
