9ers have a better long term plan. We went the Vikings way instead of the Bears/Rams way and now team is far more well equipped to be good for a long time.

Originally posted by RocketMan:Trubisky and the bears could be the next Blake Bortles and the Jaguars. Niners meanwhile are well balanced offense and defense. Front 7's are comparable. Another difference is Niners have really nice depth throughout the roster. Kudos to Lynch, who is himself growing into the position.
I like this comparison. Great defense. Horrendous QB.

Even that strategy failed because after 9 years of drafting well and developing "their own" they had to pay them all...and STILL had to buy a FQB (allegedly).
If anything, this fun little exercise is showing the myriad of ways teams are constructed and that fine delicate balance pushed up against very short "open windows."

If anything, I should have first compared our own team the day Harbaugh walked in to this regime because it's being built identical to that. Years and years of top picks, key free agents, developing a FQB and winning with defense and running the ball. Creepy actually. The difference is offensive mentality and philosophy.

Haha! I see what they are trying to do on offense, but they look like KC Chief rejects. 😂

They're better off trading for Mariota or Eli Manning who would both be cheaper. IMO

If Mitch ain't the guy, they may regret trading away 2 #1s that they could've packaged to get another QB. Now they're basically Tennessee.

They better pursue Bridgewater next year (at the very least)...even Winston or Mariota would be huge upgrades

I thought we would regret the solomon trade for a long time, but trubisky isnt panning out the way they hoped, and it is ruining the chances of that great defense
and losing amos and howard was definitely not a good idea
