That was a terrible game. Both teams were bad but the Bears were even embarrassing their own fans. Best player on the pitch was a guy called Bosa!
Seems like this thread was made to bash the ShannyLynch, and hasn't aged well.

LOL true. You forgot to mention that they traded up so that we essentially got Reuben Foster for free (at least that part worked out pretty well).

Can we just lock up this thread now? I think we all knew this would happen so glad it worked out for all of us believers!
Lesson here is miss on the qb and you're screwed. If Chc took Mahomes or Watson they'd be SB contenders. Instead it's 8-8.

No way would Chicago be going that far this year, even with Mahomes or Watson. They just aren't that good. The coaching isn't impressive. Tackling is poor.

Yes a qb is fundamental but so is the head coach, amongst others.

Their d is 5th in points, 7th in yards. Tackling isn't that big of a problem. You add a real qb and they're going to be racking up wins. The thing about Watson and Mahomes they provide big plays. Mitchell averages 5.6 yards an attempt. I don't think I've ever seen such a pathetic # there.

Yeah I am with you tj. Adding a top QB to this Bears team, and they are absolutely a contender.
Lesson: It's still a QB driven league.

Agreed. It's not like they lack in talent.

The problem is that they have neither the picks nor the capspace to make that happen right now unless they somehow hit a homerun with a 2nd or 3rd round QB. Also adding a top QB wouldn't suddenly give them a run game or make Nagy any less inept of a coach. Now their OL is regressing on top of everything else.

Totally. It turned into a hot mess there now that Trubisky hasn't panned out, OL regressed, Magy might be proving to be just as bad as his QB, etc. I hate seeing wasted talent due to coaching incompetence, in particular. What is Pace going to do now?
Stupid thread turned out to be stupid, Go figure
