As opposed to having both Nagy and Pace get fired in offseason? Gotta win a SB before you can say the 9ers are in a better spot?

Nagy should be fired today on principle for that abysmal game ending call.

C'Mon, that's not what I was trying to say. I'm talking purely about the 49ers rebuild, nothing to do with Chicago.
what do the 49ers have to rebuild?

QB / Oline

Looks like we're both still rebuilding.

The 49ers are injured. The Bears are on the verge of blowing it all up and starting over with a new HC and GM.

All we need is a competent qb to unleash the offense..and some oline help

They signed Alex Bars that's why they had a better record.

I wanted that dude! It sounds like he's made all the difference according to Baldy.

Now Trubisky is serviceable? Coincidence? Probably not.

Because they're going to the playoffs again and we stink again.

Next year it'll get back to the original trend of them not making the playoffs and us going to the Superbowl.

All the Bears did was beat up on a bunch of weak teams and extend their misery by giving Nagy another year to show he's woefully in over his head in being an NFL head coach.

They beat:
Detroit 5-10
Atlanta 4-11
Houston 4-11
Jacksonville 1-14
Carolina 5-10
NY Giants 5-10
Tampa 10-5
Minnesota 6-9

They lost against:

LA Rams 9-6
Tennessee 10-5
Green Bay 12-3
Indy 10-5
New Orleans 11-4
Minnesota 6-9
Detroit 5-10

Combined record of the teams they beat: 40-80

They've been fairly healthy and they've managed one win against a team with a winning record.

Oh man, it was a joke as the OP is so far down the line but you basically illustrated how life is going to be for the Bears next year with a playoff schedule.

Lol May want to wait until they actually wrap up a playoff spot before crowing btw have you watched the bears play at all?
The Bears spent 4 draft picks on Trubisky who has looked ass except for the last couple of weeks. They tried with Foles who has looked even worse. They have drafted some good players like Roquan Smith, Eddie Jackson and David Montgomery. They signed guys like Allen Robinson and traded two firsts for Khalil Mack. They haven't won a playoffs game for a while.
The 49ers have drafted great players like Kittle, Warner, Bosa, Deebo, Aiyuk, Greenlaw. And some busts like Solly, Foster, Pettis. It's in FA where the 49ers FO hasn't done as well. Most expensive signings are like Garcon, Richburg, Ford, Alexander and Mckinnon who are expensive and either non productive or injury prone. Good signings so far have been Kyle Juice and K'waun Williams.
The Bears need to be better in coaching and improve their QB situation if they want to beat Rodgers. The 49ers need to sign or extend players who actually deserve to be paid.

Maybe some OL help can help unleash the offense. I'm critical of Jimmy, but he's got 3 solid receiving targets and a nice stable of rbs around him. I'd rather invest in the OL and see what Jimmy(or Rosen/Beathard/idk) does. Similar to how the Browns are dealing with Baker. Provide everything he needs to succeed and see what he does when there's no more excuses to why he can't perform well and produce. For JG specifically, he's gotta check off some boxes: stay healthy, NFCW, And at least NFC champ game. This is a super bowl roster and should be a perennial contender . If he can't get it done under borderline perfect circumstances , you gotta bring somebody new into a good situation.

Also, The Bears overachieved this year. But they are desperate for consistent QB play and a WR2, possibly WR1 if A-Rob leaves. Smartest thing Nagy did was give up play calling. But he's in the hot seat next year.
