I'm not certain Rodgers is still elite, but he would be unbelievable with our weapons and Kyle. Guaranteed Superbowl, but at what cost? We'd have to restructure contracts and eventually run into big cap trouble. Pass

Yes. And what price would the Pack demand from us for him? If it isn't players it would have to be a hatful of future 1st round picks.

I don't think I want Rodgers but I have this idea about a potential move that would be interesting.
Trade Deebo and Lance for Rodgers. Frees up enough cap to make Rodgers happen with some restructures. The Packers get a really good WR and another young option at QB in case Love doesn't pan out.
Then you go out an sign OBJ on a relatively cheap one-year deal. And let Purdy take over whenever Rodgers hangs it up.
QB- Rodgers
WR- Ayiuk, OBJ, Jennings
TE- Kittle
RB- McCaffrey, Mitchell
That is a pretty potent offense. Don't give me too much hate it is just an idea lol.

Then we put him behind our O line for a little practice on the last preseason and he gets knocked down and picks up a season-ender because he is not as mobile as he used to be. And we have squeezed all the restructuring as far as we could to accommodate him.
Until we have seen a little more of Lance I am very reluctant to see him traded. Whilst I would like Rodgers I just don't think it can or should happen.

We've got three cost effective promising quarterbacks, maximising our team talent. We've just got to make it work. Old players are more subject to injury, they cost too much money, and they cost too much draft capital. This one is seriously thinking of retiring. Ride our solid base, not his Hail Mary.

Rodgers talks about winning another MVP award, not Super Bowls. He doesn't work with his receivers in the off season. He always seems to start off slow. He's underperformed his talent, only winning one SB in 2010 on a perennially strong team. He recently went "into the dark" to plan his future, 90 percent sure he's emerge to retire. Why would anyone think he'd be around more than one year. His beach home in Malibu is calling him. His $59.5m is ridiculous, and unlike Brady, his rapaciousness will Always come before team success. He's still flipping our sideline off in recent years. His play is in decline. The harm will far and away outlast any gain, if there is any gain. He's all our eggs in one basket. He's a dick and a kook, and poster board material for opponents and questionable locker room leader.
John and Kyle have put in excellent work building a Superlative roster while giving ourselves an excellent chance to still get very good quarterback play. Why throw that away without giving it a chance?

We could have had Manning and Brady 2X, so don't blow it again and just get Rodgers if he's actually available. Maybe if we actually signed one of these HoFers, the team wouldn't be on a 30 year SB drought.

Who said that? How long has it been that we've gone 8-0 with Purdy including two playoff wins, now have a locker room leader, and a starting quarterback, and came oh so close last year, only derailed by a fluke last minute injury?

and with Purdy.. we've been here before in 2017 and now we made it worse this time by going into the next season with our starter out already
