Good trade for the Jets.

It basically nets out to the Jets trading this year's 2023 second round pick and next year's (2024) first round pick for Rodgers.

for a guy who will give them maybe 2-3 months before he's over the hill.. it's a typical NYJ move.. in that it won't work
years from now ppl will ask why didn't they just get Lamar?

Yeah I think that's a steal assuming the Jets make the playoffs next year which I know is a big assumption with how stacked the AFC is. But if they do it's a hell of a trade for the Jets.

Cause Rodgers is better than Lamar.

Wait... Jets got a first round pick out of this?

#15.

It looks like I'm wrong but I expected a better haul. A 2 draft spot swap, a second and a conditional 2nd... Basically they got a high first round pick next year and a second.

Packers simply had too little leverage due to Rodgers' age.

Lamar gives you a 5-7 year window.. Rodgers it's like a one year window at best..

I very much doubt they will win it all.. I am not sure they will make the playoffs..
On paper, the Jets clearly win this trade. Will it give them a Super Bowl win though? I highly doubt it.

And with Lamar you have a bloated contract for a guy who's gonna degrade as a QB faster than normal who gets hurt and quits on his team.

My buddies a Jets fan they currently have the longest drought of being in the playoffs in all 4 major sports. He considers playoffs a win

I would too. A playoff win would be huge and since he won't be playing against the Niners he might win one.
Rodgers is going to b***h slap this dude back to BYU.
