Richard Hightower-Chicago Bears Special Teams Coach

Team's special team doesn't have to be #1 but there are too many big returns and fumbles. May not be his fault but someone's head has to roll and he's drawn the short straw.

He made his straw by being too conservative. He may be dealing with PSquad players but what has he done for us lately? or ever!
Brian Belichik can coach both DBs and Special team..

get him NOW !!!
I hope saleh takes him

He's way too conservative. Mitch Wishnowsky has so much upside on trick plays. He's got top 5 athletic ability at the position. And our returners mainly fair catch punts. We need new blood at the coaching spot.
hes awful...needs to go

Shanny / Lynch needs to do a lot of cleaning house...
Just draft a return specialist that plays we like so many good teams. Stick him as our wr6. I was all for Tevon Austin. We haven't had a good PR since Ginn. I can't believe Pettis the all time leader in PR tds wasn't exclusively there (I know we gave him a few tries but he didn't do that well). I get it that we were protecting him from injury assuming he was a main wr, but when we knew he sucked as a wr, make him the full time PR.

For someone that says things and then complains when they don't happen, thus saying you would be right if it did

Give me one reason why you think he can coach special teams, when he has no history whatsoever and was just recently promoted to Safeties Coach, which was previously held by his older brother

D.J. Reed and Mostert too. Hightower has had some of the very best returners ever in college on this team and can't do anything with them. He sticks with dudes that go down on first contact every single time (Taylor and James) IF they even return it.

His units constantly look ill prepared.

He's also done absolutely nothing on trick plays.

BTW: Reed is absolutely killing it in Seattle right now. He single handedly won that game on Sunday.
I keep feeding DL.

Nothing. Went and drafted the the two best returners in college football that season in Pettis and James, but nothing came from it.
Knowing this team, the niners will make him defensive coordinator when saleh leaves.

must

go.

We have to address the ST. Was it good? Nope. Was it nuanced? Was it aggressive? Nope, nope. Was it adequate? Nope. Pretty well answers the question.

Remember, in evaluating a football team, ST counts as 1/3. That may be too high, but it probably is about right. To date, KS and JL have not addressed this but it has gotten to the point that it no longer can be ignored. We HAVE to do better.

And we can.
