Oh look at that...D.J. Reed balling out as as returner for Seattle.

I'm sorry were you saying something?

Haha. Chalk that up to inexperience. He only started a few games ago.

He returned here too and did the same if I recall. Just stop lol.

1. When was the last time he was a returner here?

2. When was the last time he fumbled?

1. 2018

2. I couldn't care less. He fumbled for the Seahawks.

With that said, I wouldn't have let him go. His value and potential is higher than some of the people that they kept on the 53. My issue is people talking about personnel decisions on this team like they are the Jets or something.

That was my point. It's been a couple/few years and returning is an art so I'm not surprised to see a muff or fumble given he just started doing it for the Hawks a month+ ago. But it was costly! Hehe. Well done Reed. I hear you. I'm more annoyed why Hightower can't find or develop a returner here.

Definitely a guy I want fired. Our special teams has been nothing better than average his entire tenure. We've seen Saleh grow (I may be in the minority, but I''d say he has 3 good years- I'm including 2018 - as a DC), Kyle as a HC and OC has done well. With special teams, we've seen nothing in four years.

100%!

AND they have provided Hightower with some athletes *Raheem Mostert for the first 3 years*. Drafted a punter 4th, etc.
He's coming back, ain't he.

bump
I was hoping they would go in a different direction. The return game has been non existent for a while and that needs to end. We need that Tony Montana squad heart and energy back in ST again

Media catching on to my topic/concern finally.

What are we waiting for. Reassign him if we want to keep him but hire another st guy please.

They should replace this dude. Our special teams are 💩
We need a guy who can return like this but more consistently and not have a dodgy social life that leads to being charged with rape

Runs to high.
But he had some Barry Sanders look about him.
The nuances are too great though and gimmicks don't work in the NFL.
Robert Salah should take Hightower to the Jets with him.
His units are crap. Need to upgrade.
