Fire him yesterday.
We don't need Devin Hester. Just have someone who's not going to muff punts that cost us games is all I ask for.

I wouldn't go there but he's definitely replaceable if that's what you're saying. With that said I don't understand how our ST continues to look like absolute crap going on 4 years now. I do know Shanahan first and foremost cares about the returner securing the ball before anything else and doesn't really care much what happens after that. But all I saw in that game is we can't return KO/punts or cover them worth a damn and the punter is super avg. Besides that ST is wonderful.

I do it's the dam coach.
And I think's it's crazy that Shanny doesn't care about getting his offense a short field or winning the field position battle with a good return. I find that hard to believe.
Expecting a much better effort from ST on Sunday. This team can't be so bad on ST as last Sat. or it's going to catch up w/ them.
Hightower getting praise as a "very good ST coach" from Greg Papa
Well, somebody finally lit a fire under Hightower. His boys did their jobs today.

WE HAD a chance to sign Patterson, he would have been our best deep threat and best RETURNER since GINN Jr !!
Ambry Thomas got a shot at kickoff return today. He did it in College.

We were going up against the raiders practice squad. Todays performance shouldnt absolve him of all the s**tty ones hes had over the years.

Perhaps has more to do with WHO was playing on STs in this game as well as who they were up against. Seemed to be s concerted effort to get the ST squad on the same page as the rest of the team though. Real test will be when the firsts start losing players to injury and then they start raiding the ST guys. Question is depth quality and not coaching since there is not much evidence of nuanced knowledge there.
Mitch is finally kicking some good punts, and the coverage has been solid. Well safe to say that Kyle talked to Richard privately and wasn't very happy.

To play devils advocate it could also be safe to say that RH yelped back at KS and said "well stop taking my best gunners and getting the rest injured". Not really safe though....maybe just murmured ..... to himself.
