I thought the units overall played much better in covering punts and kickoffs than they have in recent history and getting some turnover action (thanks mainly to Bungles). However, Wish and Gould individually didn't have very good games. Wish consistently had short kicks and obviously Gould missed the game winner to avoid overtime. We need both of those guys to step up with the playoffs looming and points/field position being key ingredients to winning.

100%. I've never seen so many muffed plays. They must have had zero return yards. LOL

It was a mirror image of us against SEA last week. Each week wiht injuries, expect the unexpected…from here on out. Everybody is nicked, and that gives you PARITY FOOtBALL.

that said, kyle must have given the entire ST the pep talk about how important they are and i suspect he reminded them thruout the game . I hope HT was part of that but who knows. For sure kyle let them all have it after last week. Just hope he continues to manage that crew.

I am not sure Wish was at all a problem this time except one shorter punt that span backwards.

He had 3 punt/kicks muffed. Often that is due to hang time/pressure and ball spin/trajectory. Haven't checked the hang time numbers yet but from anecdotal game view it seemed that way.

Also kicked a good few out the back of the end zone from kick off. One was too short (caught around the 15yard).

Gould is showing his age.

Good to see better coverage.

Didn't think of it at the time, but later wondered did WiSH kick a pair of "wobblers" and did kyle ask him to? The PR definitely was seeing something weird as the ball came down, hitting him once in the chest and not sure about the other. So…question…did kyle call up two wobblers? If so couldn't have been a better time…and if he did…i dont expect to hear bupkis about it….but i think he did. If so, then we probably will see it again…and if so, the answer will be self evident.
P.s. if anyone happens to have video of either of those two muffed punts, specifically video of downward flite of those two balls, may i ask you to share it?
more i think about it, the more i think those both could have been Mitch's "wobblers"…but would really love to know. TIA (Thx in advance)

This first one he made the Kyle Williams blunder of thinking he has to lay out for the punt. Literally diving laying out to catch a punt. Like come on man it's not a live ball you can just let it go. Next one I think his confidence was shaken from the first one probably told himself not to eff it up and it got all high on his pads.

Sorry I don't have the vid lol but that's my play by play breakdown
He is so incompetent that they had bosa lined left end on a punt…
Answer to reporter that asked him what a banana kick is.

- You guys know what it is. Look it up on youtube.

Bosa has played 9 snaps on STs this year.

How and why does that make the coach incompetent though?

I know right? The kind of thing I say when i have no clue what a banana even looks like. Just as well I am not a ST coach.

I believe they were guarding against a fake in 4th & short
At some point we have to start pointing the finger at Shanny for keeping this scrub around. He has been garbage and has accomplished nothing in this time here. It baffles me that Shanny cares so little about special teams.
Can this guy be fired please
