Hightower held the same position the past five seasons in San Francisco. Another big hire for Matt Eberflus.
So his contract must have been up…because I didn't see anything about firing him
Or they let him walk? Assistants have two year deals and this is year 5 of the Shanahan tenure. Honestly, I think it's a better look if they did let him walk as opposed to his contract being up.

I'm not as extreme about it, but I'm definitely with you. If I only got to have one more realistic wish, it would be that we could just be in the middle with health for the next 10 years. You could argue that the health thing cost us Super Bowls. Yes plural.
