Yeah, it's well overdue - need a new voice and leader on ST.
See ya!
Get Joseph Judge!!
Not that this is some mind blowing opinion, but I think the fact that Hightower took a lateral position so quickly means everyone knew the 49ers were going to fire him. But he was allowed to make a move prior to us having to do that.

And unfortunetely for the Bears, Their GM probally made this hire based on this one game. He saw the Niners special teams beat his rival and thought ok we need their Special teams coach. But he forgot two things. One was the Niners other 17 or 18 games and two, The Packers were the only team who had a worse special teams than the Niners.

I agree. Glad for his family he landed on his feat and glad for us that he's gone. We also play the Bears next year :) I hope we win, our special teams is better than theirs, and that Trey plays better than Justin.

Kyle did his buddy a solid. I do think that Kyle was willing to cut ties with his close friend does show that he'll put the needs of the team ahead of any personal relationships. You can't say that about all HC's.
So did we find a ST coach to replace him?
watch the bears have the #1 ranked special teams and kyle's been holding him back this whole time.

Agreed. At the same time, it could be good for Hightower to be on his own vs. attached to Shanahan roster philosophy. He's got a great organizational structure in CHI especially with their new HC. It's solid all around.
