Hasn't shown that he's any better either.

No one can deny what you said in terms of QB talent, but I'm sure you realize how far back all of that is. The youngest guy on the list is an old man.

You're right except Rogers who's still playing at a high level and Luck who had to retire early because of am injury. Current starters in the NFL from the PAC12 include Gardner Minshew, Jared Goff, Sean Mannion and Sam Darnold. Minshew and Mannion arent great but they are starting. Goff is pretty good and Darnold has talent but is still young. I'll stand by my evaluation of PAC 12 QBs. Very few if any conferences can match the number of starting QBs they have put in the league. The SEC has put more players in the league than anyone but not QBs. AJ McCarron and Tua if he starts would be the only 2 at this time. QB is the one area where the PAC 12 has always been fairly strong. Defensive players is where the PAC 12 sucks.

Didn't this guy have all the physical tools? It was just between the ears where he needed to be fixed? I agree that he would most likely be an upgrade over Beathard as qb #3.

Had an arm and confidence. Horrible pocket presence, timing and slow feet that haunted him in college and made him worthless in the NFL.

Beathard has shown more than Rosen.

I think he's horrible - lacks accuracy.

lol at calling Rosen horrible after one season. He had a terrible OL that couldnt pass or run block very well, had very few weapons, and was pretty much constantly under pressure. Maybe reserve judgement until Arizona actually gets guys who can block and a couple of years under his belt. Sometimes guys can suddenly turn things around when they get good coaching and better players around them. Jared Goff is the perfect example. Peyton Manning was pretty bad his rookie year with 28 interceptions and he turned out ok

These are awful examples.

Goff is an outlayer not the norm. There are way, way more Joey Harringtons than Jared Goffs.

Also, absolutely nothing about Peyton Manning's rookie season showed us he couldn't get it done. He was REGULALRY dropping dimes. Nobody questioned if Peyton Manning could be a franchise guy.

Using Goff (a clear and obvious exception) and a HOF QB as your data points suspends the laws of logic and reason.

It is HIGHLY more likely Rosen is something much less than either of those guys.

As a general comment: Have any of you Rosen supporters watched him for any length of time in the 2018 season? He was atrocious. Him airmailing balls several times a game, throwing directly into the defenders hands several times a game has little to do with coaching. He was a dog.

Yes, he will get better. He can't get worse.

Correct.

I think that ultimately answers the question.

As of now, he's practice squad good.
at the moment he has a better win percentage than Jimmy G in the superbowl.
Weird question here. Are we gonna snatch this kid off the practice squad if mullens struggles? His game is sorta what kyle wants in a qb imo

So how many times has Rosen taken his team to the Super Bowl?

Unless Garoppolo goes on IR, and both Mullens and Beathard struggle, I don't anticipate us making a move to acquire Rosen. Multiple QBs have mentioned it takes a good 2+ years to fully master Shanahan's playbook.

Ignore the draft selection, and look at overall performance...I'm not sure if he'd be a material upgrade at QB.

Give him a chance: How many times has Rosen taken his team to the playoffs. Or to more than three wins with him as starting QB.
