How good is Josh Rosen?

lol at calling Rosen horrible after one season. He had a terrible OL that couldnt pass or run block very well, had very few weapons, and was pretty much constantly under pressure. Maybe reserve judgement until Arizona actually gets guys who can block and a couple of years under his belt. Sometimes guys can suddenly turn things around when they get good coaching and better players around them. Jared Goff is the perfect example. Peyton Manning was pretty bad his rookie year with 28 interceptions and he turned out ok

These are awful examples.

Goff is an outlayer not the norm. There are way, way more Joey Harrington's than Jared Goff's.

Also, absolutely nothing about Peyton Manning's rookie season showed us he couldn't get it done. He was REGULALRY dropping dimes. Nobody questioned if Peyton Manning could be a franchise guy.

Using Goff (a clear and obvious exception) and a HOF QB as your data points suspends the laws of logic and reason.

It is HIGHLY more likely Rosen is something much less that either of those guys.

The point is that is dumb to judge the kid after ONE year when he has a horrible supporting cast just like it would have been with Goff. I wasnt comparing Rosen's talent to Mannings but just showing how a rookie most often will struggle at the QB position. Rosen may in fact turn out to be nothing special but he needs protection, weapons, and consistent coaching to have a fair evaluation.

Trading him for Odell and then draft Murray...Bosa would fall in our laps.

"Every team in the league is looking for that guy that's going to lead them to championships," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier told The MMQB. "And so for us, we're in a position where we're trying to find that guy, like a lot of teams in the league. So yeah, it was an easy decision. And it doesn't stop us from doing anything in the future. Who knows? If things go well and we feel he's the guy, who knows? But it doesn't stop us from doing anything."

-Doesn't sound like he's getting much room for error this season and they could very well draft another franchise QB in next years draft.
The criticism of this guy seems to cross the line into pure idiocy far too often.

"He asked adidas to make his shoe out of recycled plastics"

Who know's he's only played 1 year on a bad team. Anyone who says otherwise is guessing.
He'll be traded again next year when the Dolphins draft Tua
Dunno. I thought he had a bright future. He needed to land in a similar situation to Aaron Rodgers, imo, and use the time to adjust to the NFL. Not sure the Dolphins will be much better. NE might have worked.

He has talent. I see him having Jay Cutler type career.

Arizona's line is worse than the Texans. And they did NOTHING to correct it. I think Rosen will do fine if the team that plays him doesn't expect him to block for himself.

Not very many rookies that I'm aware can get away with no protection.
The correct answer is I'll tell you in 2 years
