"Passing game coordinator"

interesting considering he's not from the Pete Carroll tree.

Worked in Tampa with Kyle and Kiffin. Carroll is more or less from the Kiffin tree.
Hm.. Pass game coordinator, that means he isn't the DB coach right? Imagine having Woods and Manuel! Go get em!

I'm so very confused right now. He's a passing game coordinator who helps both Kyle and Saleh?

It just means he's the DB coach and will handle secondary coverage stuff for Saleh.

edit - Actually, maybe he's just a specialist coach like Chris Kiffin. Maybe they'll add a DB coach still.

Ahh, gotcha. Someone should ask him what coverage they were playing in Denver when Kittle scored that 85-yard TD. I'm still baffled to this day lol.

He's going to focus specifically on pass defense to help out Saleh. Might work with Kyle in terms of attacking particular defensive coverages that other teams are running on offense. Kris Richard did something similar in Seattle.
As long as Woods can get the defense to be more versatile in its coverages and disguises, I'm all for it.

Ah ok, extra help won't hurt.

The nice thing is that he has a pretty diverse history of coaching different styles of coverage. He's coached in schemes that were man and zone heavy.
It appears that there's still a DB coach opening, no?

I'm wondering if the position includes him acting as DB coach too or if that will involve someone else?

Still allows Marquand Manuel to join our staff as DBs coach.
