Saints' epic playoff losses this past decade

Shop 49ers game tickets
4 of the last 5 playoff losses for the Saints include:

2010 playoffs - losing to the 7-9 Seahawks
2011 playoffs - The Catch III
2017 playoffs - Minneapolis Miracle
2018 playoffs - No-call on blatant PI

That fan base just holds tighter and tighter onto those SB XLIV memories....
Stingers for sure
And what good memories they are. Super Bowl XLIV was one of the better games, or one of my favorite Super Bowl outcomes.

The league deserves the s**t-storm that comes from yesterday's non-call. It just feeds the conspiracy theorists.

Absolutely. The league drags its feet on such obvious fixes. It took them five years to fix the broken catch rules. This year with the new rules? Basically fixed immediately.

The CFL has shown for 5 years now that reviewing PI via replay works just fine. Same would be true for personal fouls like the "roughing" call on Brady yesterday which is an easy overturn.

Still not as bad as our own team's luck from 2011-2013
I don't buy Brees's good guy act. I think he's a fraud. Throw that in with Sean Payton's douchiness and I'm ok with the Rams winning.

I was going to say, nobody since the early 90's Bills fans have suffered the amount of heartbreak in a close proximity of time than 49ers fans. 2011 NFC Championship Kyle Williams/Bradshaw, 2012 SB with all the Jerome Bogar BS, and the 2013 NFC championship with the stupid Kap pick. Then the next year everything falls apart and guys start retiring. From perennial SB contenders to horrifically bad in the blink of an eye after 3 straight punches to the gut.

Bounty Gate sold it for me, that team is full of douchiness.

I forgot to mention Kamara. He falls under the whiny douche umbrella also.

I'd put the 01-04 Eagles in that bunch as well. Sure, they won the Super Bowl last year, but four straight NFC Championship games, one SB trip and nothing to show for it has to sting.

Wasn't as bad as what we went through, but it's in the ballpark.

They deserve every bit of bad luck as far as I'm concerned. There's no less than 3-4 times we've been on the losing side of blown calls vs the Saints in recent years that cost us. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Sean Payton's desperate act of calling on the fans to help the team win all week was weak too. Also, the fans blowing whistles during the start and end of plays? Seriously? Yeah, they deserve to suffer.

Every time I see that gif I have to watch it like 100 times... Brees's neck... holy sh!t. That was the BS roughing hit that cost us homefield advantage over the Seahawks in 2013, which really turned the tides on our fortunes that year...
Yeah, f*** Sean Payton and his merry band of douches.

Brees got up and cried like a b***h for a flag.
