He shouldn't be running up the middle tho. If it's do or die, playoffs/SB fine and I'm sure he'll be ok. Not some random wk 3 bs. We got plenty of backs to run up the middle with
Agreed.
I'd still prefer to see him used solely as a receiver and save those jet sweeps for when they're needed most. Hopefully the run game is clicking on all cylinders this season so we won't see Deebo used in that capacity as much.
Why just WR? Deebo has a 133 Quarterback Rating. I think he could be backup QB too.![]()

I swear, if Paarag didn't put some QB incentives in the contract, If I was Deebo, I'd be **REALLY** disappointed in Deebo's agent.

I'm always very happy you are often wrong, CC!![]()

CC is man enough to admit when he is wrong. That makes one of us on this entire board.

This. Dude on NFL Radio said, "We are knew this was going to get done." GTFOOH with that. Nearly all the media said the exact opposite. Clowns.

It's been reported there is no role-related language in the contract and that he'll do as he's asked no different than any other player.

In case the 49ers continue to use wide receiver Deebo Samuel as a running back, he has incentives in his new contract that could pay him an additional $1.95 million over life of contract for rushing yards and rushing TDs, per sources.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 1, 2022
Deebo Samuel will receive $650,000 per year for each year he has 380 or more rushing yards.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 1, 2022
Samuel also will earn $150,000 if he scores three rushing TDs in any one year.
He maxes out at $650,000 per year and 1.95 million over the life of his new contract.

Not a fan of "three more years to go". It seems like he can't wait to be out of SF the way he worded that sentence. Hopefully, there weren't any franchise tag exclusions in that contract.
