Last year you could see some decline, this year it's pretty obvious. It used to be that he basically break the first tackle constantly 2+ years ago. Last year he wasn't doing it as often, and this year it's rare. That wear and tear caught up to him now.

The fact is that Deebo, who has his faults, has given his body and heart to the organization. He knows this might be his last year with the team and that he's not the same player he once was.
Be in his shoes, and watch the constant failures on special teams, and the fact that the HC and organization has done NOTHING to fix it is very frustrating I'm sure. Saying "lock in" is nothing that is out of line. Pepper is a snowflake.
