If he's really dead set on not playing for the 49ers then they aren't going to get a better offer for him than they will see this week.

Either he remains on the roster, or people need to adjust their expectations for a trade because its not going to include multiple 1st rounders or Elijah Moore or any of the more fantastical stuff that I've seen being thrown around out there.

There is no rush to hurry and get 1 first. He can play for a year of a rookie contract (or sit and ruin things?) and we can STILL get a first for him next year.

Given this,...I don't see the logic behind suggesting to others to just be happy with a 1st. I mean unless we're out to try and help Deebo and other teams as much as possible?

We don't need to tag yet. But just for giggles…

https://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/231479/franchise-tag-after-25-years-looking-back-at-best-worst-decisions

Especially if he doesn't play. He's a RFA next year and the tag's not necessarily even necessary.

And the reason it doesnt work in the favor of a team very much is because the sheer threat of it has these things lean heavily in the favor of the teams 9 times out of 10 without giving away their best player for pennies. There is no need usually for it to come to that.

After all this talk from him?
And how would he be used?
Will Trey throw as much to him?
And would he put in as much effort as he he did last season?
And would he stay healthy?

Big risk in my opinion to keep him around unless he wants to play like he did. Seems remote.

Way more opportunity for him to lose value than to gain or stay the same.

Eating grapes and not sour ones because after what Lynch said, he knows he's getting PAID once Jimmy is gone LOL.

Which is the only lie Lynch made in the presser, "foot the bill" for Jimmy? GTFO no one is keeping a 26M+ QB as a back up and another back up QB for 2M.

Dude you are trying SO hard to sell this narrative. Literally every post you sprinkle it in.

Why does it bother anyone if the 9ers are keeping deebo, he's still on his rookie contract ROFL. The bored clueless media are the ones spinning the trade "narrative". Deebo spinning the trade "narrative" could be as real as Goulds and Mosterts haha, ignorance is bliss, or these people want him traded hate the 9ers because having deebo keeps the 9ers a SB contender.

Maybe it's Seahawks fans, cause they traded Rusell Wilson, they won't be SB contenders for at least the next 10+ years lol!!!!

Do people actually think HOFers grow on trees or even in the 1st round? lol...

Jets putting together massive package that the 49ers can't refuse.

Show me! Don't tell me.

1 - 10 - 2022.

1st round 2023. Unknown slot.

Possible additional picks.

Let's ROB these guys. They are desperate!

And then franchise him the year after. f**k him if he doesn't want to be here. I still think if we get a kings ransom for him it's the right move but if the package isn't enough Deebo for a couple more years isn't a bad consolation prize

Aaron Donald ? I think they did it 2 years until he got a long term contract. He played without OTA and much of training camp as I remember. Since it's a one year tag and the player gets paid weekly they have to play. Also if the don't report then they lose 1 year of eligibility and turn into restricted free agents vs unrestricted.

I totally buy Debo wants the hell out of here but people need to also realize this week is the NFL season of the biggest lies and BS smokescreens you can possibly think of.
Deebo's ego triggered because he didn't get a fair offer yet for carrying the team all the way to the NFCC then Bad Jimmy Choked again.

And now more than half of the 9er fan base's ego is triggered because he asked for a trade request like Gould and Mostert did? Oh chit he ain't a loyal 9er let's trade him for picks!!!! LOL..

It's the nature of the NFL business, part of the negotiation tactics these days. John Lynch didn't have to call him a "fundamental player" and a "game changer", he did it for a reason, to show deebo he values him and yes it's a ego boost for deebo and a confirmation, why he isn't eating sour grapes anymore, he will be PAID, he will get his fair offer sooner or later... as soon as Jimmy is off the books that is.. "foot the bill"? Come again? He foot the bill right into deebos pocket LOL... as a tribute to bad Jimmy, deebo should do the footloose dance for his 1st 2022 9er TD in the end zone ROFL 🤣

No news…..is good news
If Jets feel they can compete now with the Bills and Dolphins if they get a player like Deebo, Then no price should be high enough. If they feel they are still a couple of years away ,they should keep their draft picks.
With Kittle, Warner, and Trent they all made it clear they wanted to be a Niner while they were in negotiations. Could they have still left? sure but it would have been because they weren't getting the contract they wanted. But with Deebo he hasn't given any indication or vibes that he would love to remain a Niner.
