Spot on dj. I also believe that players have a different respect for coaches who were former players, especially like you said, the ones who had to grind from the get go and them carve out a career like Wes had
The South Carolina coach said Deebo has a problem controlling his weight so Welker takes Deebo on regular 6am runs. Mad respect.

I forgot he was on the coaching staff. I'm sure he will turn Trent Taylor into a solid slot WR.

Obviously Samuel and Aiyuk are skilled and therefore play. But what about the development, regression, inconsistency or touches from the rest of the group. Maybe this is one of the coaching positions that needs to be evaluated in the off-season.

Welker must really be some kind of a WR coach convincing Shanny to keep hanging on Taylor, Bourne and Pettis while keeping Richie and White on the sideline as much as possible...
Then, he once again convinced Shanny to 1st give Crey Crey a chance before White..
I don't wanna see Welker w/our team anymore..

Any chance Welker gets promoted to OC or passing game coordinator? I think McDaniel may be looking to make him an offer and pull him over to Miami

He's probably one of the only offensive coaches I don't want to get poached, even Chris Foerster too.

I'm not including Turner, as he's either coaching with us, or taking the year off, he isn't leaving Kyle's staff.

At first I wasn't impressed with Welker, but overtime when we gave him talent to work with he's done a great job. Hoping he stays around for a while longer.
